There's often a lot said about the "Curse" of players failing as soon as they make a move away from us, but Ben Davies looks twice the player.

Obviously when he was with us, he was still only a kid and I thought his ball retention was poor, as well as his positioning, but his athleticism got him out of trouble most of the time. Watching him throughout the group stages and against Belgium in this tournament, he oozes class in everything he does. Every time he's on the ball he looks comfortable, his positioning is spot on, the block against Slovakia where he knew we were in the sh*t and read it perfectly, tournament defining moment for me.

He probably isn't playing as much as he would like at the moment, and in a selfish sort of way, would love him to come back straight away, but if he sticks it out under the guidance of Pochettino, he's going to be another world class Welsh International in my opinion.

Pochettino certainly can coach players, no doubting that. Ben looks fantastic. Doesn't suit spurs at the moment though so let's make a cheeky bid.

Neil Taylor is looking fantastic for Wales, and he's not gone anywhere.

Ben's move did wonders for Danny Rose's form imo. I thought that Ben would have walked into that Spurs side the way Rose was playing at the time.

"Players failing as soon as they make a move away from us" is a myth.

How many players of PL standard have left us and failed?

Hope Ben gets his chance this season. If not, it's time to move on.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Rose is typical of the sort of player playing for England. Fast, athletic, good stamina. Ben has a bit of extra class IMO. Spurs need both given their champions league commitments.

Didn't Laudrup mention wanting to move Ben to centre back? Could become a very good ball playing centre back IMO.
