Exciting football in the championship or survival stuff in the premier league ? on 17:02 - Apr 22 by jack247 | It's not. I totally understand the nostalgia both for the Vetch and the early days at the Liberty though. Ask fans of any Championship club where they would rather be. |
The last sentence of this post sums it up perfectly well. Bit like people who speak of "the good old days".....rickets and scurvy!!

Exciting football in the championship or survival stuff in the premier league ? on 13:47 - Apr 22 by Phil_S | Agree with most of what you said but there are very few players in this division that can be classed as close to the best in the world IMO |
Exactly. Classic case of if you repeatedly tell a person something, they will eventually believe it to be true. Well done Sky! Back in the real world even the best sides in the Prem cannot get near the best club sides in Europe, week in week out. Barca, Real, Dortmund, Juve and Atletico would ALL tear up the Prem. I dont care that Liverpool somehow got through against BD....BD have better players and are a better team. The only players I'd describe as "world class" would -perhaps- be Aguero, De Bruyne, Kompany (when fit), Kane (as good a striker as there is in world football IMO) and De Gea. Who else would get in the sides of those teams listed above??! Having said all that, I cannot categorise Kante this season because he's been ridiculous and he could already be called "world class". Unbelievable player.

I think Carduff fans would rather be in Sainsburys or Tesco's than the Championship Oh hang on, they are Guessing this isn't a serious question in any shape or form. PL every time. Even with some of the whining b'stards from every club. Crix. I think you're right. Imagine the scene. Champions League, Swansea at home to Barca and winning 2-0 including an away goal with 10 mins to play (Ok, I can still have dreams!) Some of our fans would still be leaving early (excluding those who are working, bus/ train to catch) and then whining on here that we didn't score 3.
| If you wake up breathing, thats a good start to your day and you'll make many thousands of people envious. |

Exciting football in the championship or survival stuff in the premier league ? on 17:57 - Apr 22 with 950 views | swansvalleyjack | What the WBA guy was saying was that 1. he would prefer the Premier League obviously. 2. but when the footie is shit and club is struggling , it's no fun at all . 3. so at times he does miss the Championship....though only when competing at the top, getting promotion and playing good football !! I kind of get what he means. Fighting relegation in the Prem is not nice at all. An exciting promotion run is great. For me, Premier mid table comfort (with Europa goal), good footie, some big occasional scalps...and a good cup run is what I'll take anytime. !
Exciting football in the championship or survival stuff in the premier league ? on 18:29 - Apr 22 with 926 views | SwaneeRiver | Ask Aston Villa, Leeds Forest, Cardiff, to name a few what they'd prefer. IMO 99% would prefer PL over lower league. No guarantees you won't still play or watch poor football in the Championship, plus if you get relegated you can dream of trips to the likes of Burton. Bury Crewe and Fleetwood. PL for me every time. Even a poor season like this has seen has beat Man U, Chelsea (almost twice) , Arsenal and Everton, and give Spurs a close run twice.
Exciting football in the championship or survival stuff in the premier league ? on 22:04 - Apr 22 with 880 views | DJack | Who gives a fck, I will support the Swans no matter which division... obviously any sane person will prefer the Premier League.

Who's the worst player you've seen? For me it has to be Martin Hayes. Ooops a daisy, Martin Hayeeez, Martin's missed again. Must of been an awful thing to hear from a player who never recovered from a bad injury.
Exciting football in the championship or survival stuff in the premier league ? on 23:11 - Apr 22 with 824 views | siralan | Watched by 100s millions every week world wide or put on for a 30 second clip on itv at quarter to midnight watched by 2 men and a dog. Not yet seen any team having gained promotion to the EPL turn it down yet . Also not seen a teams attendance decrease after coming up to the premiership. As for exciting football 95% of it is garbage with teams unable to put more than 4 passes together. [Post edited 22 Apr 2016 23:14]

Exciting football in the championship or survival stuff in the premier league ? on 14:31 - Apr 22 by jasonbromham | The championship & league 1 days were really some of the best! The liberty used to be rocking, how times change :( |
The thing is Jason, Swans fans were a very close knit family those days ( And not forgetting the many days before the championship) Now, everyone who has access to a pub or one of those little TV boxes is a Swans fan. You can have a detailed conversation with someone about the club/ game/referee/new players/manager/staff. And realise at the end of the conversation that that person you have spoken to has never seen a game at the Liberty, or indeed The Vetch! The Liberty may not be rocking, And it's because I believe,we as fans expect so much now we have been successful and in the PL. But really we want to be in the top half of PL. There's been little chance of that this season.

Rubbish, you'd have to go back further than that mun. The old Vetch used to be rocking every game, crowds continually singing throughout 90 mins, swaying back and forth. A total display of vociferous passion every game that sometimes meant the away side were too scared to enter the field of play. And that's when there were only 2000 in the ground!

Yep I was at that Newc game, theres been worse than him believe me.....Clive slattery , Linton Brown, and the biggest ball boy youve ever seen Colin Mcdonald. Yep lower leagues gave us laughs, sighs, cries and unity, atmosphere, and non atmosphere, closeness and ................feck all else. What downs me is the lack of atmosphere at the Liberty today, dead, !! Glory hunters while true fans are left out Priority needs to be parking or shipping in/out the fans. Chances are Championship would lose half of the so called FANS. Oh and bigger turnstiles for the fat Bathplugs!! [Post edited 23 Apr 2016 2:16]
