The problem they may have is the timing of it. With Bolton in a mess hopefully the EFL will punish them both. Can’t see them being able to get away with just Bolton being docked points, and with them both playing in the same league Bolton might kick off if bUry do t get the same as them.
Hopefully both get a points deduction with a two league relegation clause put in place if it happens again. It should happen this time but it won’t. Be nice to see them both relegated next season though due to the large points deduction. Can’t see any of them having a decent squad so you never know. |  |

I am at a bit of a loss with this, as no expert on company law, but let’s suppose the milky bar kid used one of his numerous shady companies to raise funds to keep them going, these funds were somehow loaned to bURY via said company without any or little security, eg the 7 million loan or whatever it was, was secured on an asset of say 50k, such as commercial rights for a year or the right to rent the car park spaces etc. In effect something with no real tangible value.
He the puts said shadow company into receivership, knowing it has no real assets and bURY have had the money but effectively have little or nothing to seize as collateral for the loan.
It would be immoral, but that’s bURY, but is it technically illegal, and if so I would imagine it would be the company directors held responsible, and as such could bURY dodge another bullet. | |
