Not for us, but for Bury. i was credit checking a potential customer and decided to nosey onto BFC's file and was (or maybe not) supprised to see a new CCJ for circa £22k lodged only Wednesday this week. looks like they are in need of a bumper crowd tomorrow to settle some bills

Apologies if I've missed this, but how much did SD2 make out of the takeover/sale/whatever?
SD2 will have made plenty.
Bought for £1 and sucked the life out of what he could. It's odd that SD1 gets no grief at all despite he being the one who risked everything for his own EGO trip taking a trip into fantasy land. Incredible BFC fans seem to have no stomach to remember how exactly they hit the wall.

Not my thing so I'm not up to speed, but I read in the news that a rapper called "Coolio" passed away a few days ago. Shame he missed out on the biggest gig of his career when this fantasy collapsed....

I certainly do remember Arthur. Always associate him with an expensive Crombie overcoat for some reason. Used to sidle round town centre pubs.
A regular user of Town Taxis. Recall approaching The Oxford, with him and a lady friend in the back, when a call came out for a pickup on Whitworth Road. "that's a lucky shout" he said, as I took it. Only to be told to pickup Arthur Ashworth, from the Oxford.

.......... can you sell a parking space with squatters in residence? Or have the handcuffs come off a certain well known local lady with links to the club?
£7k for an unsecured car park space when you can park on the surrounding streets for free as no match day restrictions anymore 😀
You would have to be pretty dim to pay that….
Contract Parking in Bury (other cheaper options may be available) is £1,060 a year for 7 days or £860 for Mon - Fri and that is for 2 cars not just one & you can use any of these…
Bolton Street Station Bury Market Castle Leisure Centre Foundry Street George Street Irwell Street Manchester Road Moorgate (not the Primary Care Centre car park) Trinity Street
Meanwhile, in other news, Bury AFC beat Clitheroe 2-0 in the FA Cup tonight. One game away from the First Round Proper and the attendant publicity which that would bring.

York at home in the next round.
There was plenty of rivalry between the old Bury and York years ago, so it’s a shame that the clueless lot who want nothing to do with the only club in the town won’t be going.
Imagine contributing to the downfall of your club (see various posts over the years in this thread), then criticising fans who look to create something positive, then realise when they play rivals from the past you have painted yourself into a corner.

Imagine if AFC get through to the first round proper and draw Dale.
Guess those "real" bury fans would want Dale to win

To me Bury AFC are the bastard offspring of the former FL club known as Bury FC, like FCUM are the bastard offspring of Man United , though of course with different circumstances of how they came about. I do not wish them any success at all. I will be hoping York beat them, because at least we have some history with them, especially great away days at York. However I do love the fact that certain idiots from the Bury FC fan base get het up with anything the AFC get up to including any success they might have.
I do believe that if FC ever come back as a separate entity to, merged or a replacement to AFC, they should be no higher in the pyramid of football that the AFC are at the time, and should only be allowed when all previous debts are adequately sorted, either paid off, or with a fully costed plan, with Direct Debits or similar in place.
