Not for us, but for Bury. i was credit checking a potential customer and decided to nosey onto BFC's file and was (or maybe not) supprised to see a new CCJ for circa £22k lodged only Wednesday this week. looks like they are in need of a bumper crowd tomorrow to settle some bills

Football related rumours are the best rumours. Hopefully their next owner(s), if they exist, will be properly vetted by the efl, and ideally, their supporters go deep in their homework to who they are, where the money is coming from, etc. They've already botched their early 00's reboot. Maybe don't f**k up another chance because most clubs won't get one, let alone two.
Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Day the knight in shining armour in 2013. If they get another reprieve it'll be their third in less than 20 years

I wouldn’t call the Fenton to Day transition a reprieve as such, but point taken on the other two.
I’m not saying things were hunky dory under Fenton but debts probably weren’t a great deal worse than many at our level - hence, in fact, why Day saw the opportunity to come in and do what he did.

The ‘questions need to be asked’ thread a Tranmere fan bumped from one lone voice asking real questions back in 2014 is pretty funny. He was mocked and lambasted (and then banned!) just for doing what they all should’ve been doing back 5 years ago. And since it’s been bumped they really don’t like it.
Pretty funny.
But not as funny as QWERTY’s bizarre meltdown at the most sensible Bury fan on there.

"Fenton tried to run the club based pretty much only on matchday revenue (indeed, it's what put us in trouble when much-needed home fixtures were cancelled), whereas Day is actively trying to make sure the club is not reliant on matchday revenue."
Its a fooking good job Day set them up not to rely on matchday revenue isn't it? He was a visionary.

This thread that got bumped was a cracker as well..
Been sent this from a visitor to the North Korean side of Heywood. Thanks
On the thread "Questions need to be asked" - questioning what SD1 was up to.

"Questions have been asked and answered. If you don't like the answers buy the club."
On the thread "Where’s The Protest/Demo?"

"A protest on Sat is our last chance as fans, as a group, to make our voice be heard, before the EFL 14 day deadline. Of course FB are busy, but this is also crucial and needs the fans official body to back it and publicise or it won't happen with any effect.
I find the apathy towards this dissapointing TBH."
Poor Doc, bit of an own goal there, but your irony is almost poetic

This man is diluted! We should ask City & Utd to find us a goal scoring striker from at least a Championship side , so we can continue to grow . They really are scum now!

Exactly my thinking (summed up by my initial statement). He's obviously just trying to buy a cheap vote off a long, but Jesus. THe whole situation reminds me of when Homer Simpson becomes refuge councillor for city hall.

Nothing more annoying than people suggesting the big clubs should bail troubled ones out.
The argument about distribution of wealth down the pyramid is one thing, getting the begging bowl out to big clubs because we spent 5 years signing the likes of Jermaine Beckford et al is embarrassing.

Why should a competitor business help them out? There's pretty much 0 benefits in City or United helping them. A regular attendee of matches at Gigg Lane isn't going to start spending money at City or United.
You'd argue there's more benefit of Dale (thats the FC not Steve) helping Bury financially as we get some ticket money from them if they're able to play here. But even then, that's such a tenuous reason to provide assistance.

Funny how you never hear anyone suggesting that they go cap in hand to the Nevilles isn't it? Especially after it was Daddy who introduced SD1 to the club!

The bell end has just been on talksport saying that the big clubs should help as the money needed is '''a drop in the ocean for them'' He was not joking either. It worked for president Mugabe so why not.

An absolutely clueless fool. While he's at it, he can invite Tony Lloyd MP along to get RAFC £7million off them as well. MUFC and MCFC can also help out Bolton, Macclesfield and Oldham while they are at it. On second thoughts Ivan, make that £40million for RAFC please. The atmosphere will be toxic without it now you've suggested this master plan. Make them give the local clubs lots of money for free.
Prick.

Disgusting. Does Ivan Lewis know that the local children’s hospice that serves Bury & surrounding areas has closed due to lack of funding? Graces Place in Radcliffe shut its doors in July due to a funding shortfall of approx £1million. I believe that it resides in Mr Lewis’ constituency. PRIORITIES MR LEWIS!!! Whenever the next election is I dearly hope that the people of Bury South do the right thing & show this gentleman the door.

Fantastic post. Ivan Lewis is clueless - jumping on it for a bit of notoriety. Begging United and City for money to bail us out is just embarrassing. As if this whole ordeal hasn't been embarrassing enough.
