tomorrow can't come quick enough 14:17 - Oct 16 with 2263272 views | batman | Not for us, but for Bury. i was credit checking a potential customer and decided to nosey onto BFC's file and was (or maybe not) supprised to see a new CCJ for circa £22k lodged only Wednesday this week. looks like they are in need of a bumper crowd tomorrow to settle some bills
tomorrow can't come quick enough on 22:25 - Jul 29 with 4037 views | JumeirahDale | Presumably they will continue to be deducted points for each match they can't get on. Doesn't seem fair that the games have been "suspended" rather than annulled though. MK should get the 3 points. Why should Bury have an (admittedly small) chance to get the three points somewhere down the line when they are ready? They've missed their chance.

tomorrow can't come quick enough on 22:16 - Jul 29 by Sandyman | Bolton comply - match on bury don't comply - match off. Directing some surreal sort of "blame" at the EFL for bury's continual and blatant mismanagement and overspending (the accounts have been in the public domain for bury fans to see for years) is ridiculous. What did most bury fans do on knowing the clubs finances were out of control and losses were piling up? #enjoytheride Did they fight back and challenge the owners like Blackpool did? No. Those who turned a blind eye to what was going on are as culpable as anybody. They loved riding on the SD1 train, with no intention of paying the fare. The ones who tried to raise awareness and actually challenge things years ago are the ones I feel sorry for. And all those owed money. This could be the first of many postponements. |
Thing is Sandyman this isn't about the past for bury, its about the future. This is the EFL taking a stand and saying clearly show us your financial plan. Yes they have robbed local businesses. Yes they have robbed Mansfield of kicking off in League 1. Yes they have robbed time and life from the EFL which they do not warrant. But all that is in the past. The great light of the way forward is: Can you show us what this season looks like? (ignoring the majority of crooked seasons past). And they can't. Or won't. Both are bad. I can't see how we get to play them in December 2019.

I think it is in the EFL rules that there will more points deducted for suspended games ..

tomorrow can't come quick enough on 22:30 - Jul 29 with 3960 views | Daley_Lama | It’s the EFL’s fault that they won’t sanction a team that cannot show the means to fullfill the whole of next season. It’s the EFLs fault they didn’t enforce the fit and proper test on an ownership change done without referral. It’s the EFLs fault they allowed Bury to be promoted while not paying players, staff, creditors, taxman. It doesn’t seem to be Stewpot Days fault anymore. It does not seem to be FB’s partial fault for their volte face to roll over and let Day tickle their tummy before the bull**** came Were the roles reversed, i believe that some on here would be blaming the past owner rather than the EFL for postponing (not ejecting) a club that is in dire financial mess even with a 75% CVA, winding up petition on Weds, short term history of failed wages. Stewpot Day is the cause of this not the EFL. Hope Bury survive of course, the EFL bashing is a bit w*nk. [Post edited 29 Jul 2019 22:36]

tomorrow can't come quick enough on 22:30 - Jul 29 with 3955 views | Cleedale | Just can't work out what was in this for Dale? Or has he just run out of time and perhaps seriously misjudged the severity and complications of the debt? Has he now just got it in for the club and supporters? Whichever way, can't see this ending happily for any (of them) now and it's (surprisingly for me anyway) looking as though they could be expelled at any point. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

We have until May 2020. There will be at least one sunny day between now and then. Or we could play both fixtures on the respective car parks with jumpers for goalposts...

We'd need permission away as they don't own a car park!

About £2m. Take whatever value you think the ground is worth if you developed houses/flats/commercial property on there and deduct £3.6m. So far I think he has taken £1m in from the sale of all the players from last season and their management. Add in then the that £3.6m is financed by a network of very closely associated people to this tale and you then may suspect that gaining control of the ground as a property asset may have been the plan all along. Remember the legal entity still exists for Dale to control. Whether that entity continues to play football fixtures or focuses on other commercial endeavours remains to be seen. You don't live in a £3m house in Prestbury be being naive about business.

As someone who was on the committee that agreed the pitch specification for lacrosse at the now Rochdale Sports Club, I can assure you the drainage has always been excellent. Upon completion they were flood tested on several occasions prior to us accepting them. And we were unpaid amateurs.

Thanks for that RAFC. This could drag on Forever?!! but feel it could turn very nasty at some point. Btw., the Prestbury pad - at least according to their site - is def. rented.

Can you make yourself available for a consultancy role at Spotland? It’s that type of “unpaid amateurishness” that the club could do with given the professionals have made such a balls of it.

To be fair it was a new build and not a repair to an existing pitch, and it was, at times, baffling. But we had a specification agreed and a budget and timescale. We had to play one season at Heywood CC, which was ace, but the lacrosse pitches have prevailed now and host RAFC training as well as a festival of lacrosse towards the end of each season.

tomorrow can't come quick enough on 22:14 - Jul 29 by RAFCBLUE | This development is actually better than them going bust. An automatic guilty charge will now follow under 31.1 for bury for misconduct: 31.1 Any Club failing to fulfil its fixture obligations in respect of any match under the jurisdiction of The League on the appointed date or dates or causing The League to suspend any fixture shall be deemed guilty of misconduct, unless the circumstances giving rise to such failure are outside the control of the Club and could not have been reasonably foreseen or reasonably anticipated and remedied prior to the match. Every Club shall carry out regular and appropriate maintenance and checks to ensure that its safety certificate is not suspended or withdrawn. On Saturday they get to watch every other club enjoy the pure joy and hope of the start of a new season. The misconduct charge will either have a fine or a points deduction depending on the length and severity and the EFL are not going to decide until the number of games delayed are known - starting with MK Dons and now threatening the Accy away game if they are not done and dusted by Friday. The League are not going to kick them out. They are going to hold the rule book up and say this is what you have to play to. That rule book will hold until such time that they are a) compliant or b) expelled under the rules. I can't wait to see Forever bury's statement tonight. No football, no plan, no attempt to comply. Oh, and the transfer window shuts shortly. |
How have Bolton got away with missing a fixture last season without being penalised then?

It was punished in the previous season which ended on 30 June. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/48151016 Given Bolton were relegated there wasn’t a lot to penalise them for. Bolton will be charged with misconduct for filing this submission late but they’ve tried to comply so will get some leniency for that.

tomorrow can't come quick enough on 07:14 - Jul 30 with 2985 views | electricblue | I'm sorry but the EFL are digging a big hole for themselves by constantly bottling out of the decision to remove Bury from the Football League.. It is obvious that Steve Dale does not the money to provide the EFL the reassurances they requie.. Steve Day is permanently waiting for his cash cow to arrive which only the deluded will still think it will be here tomorrow.. The EFL have proved that they are weak and not for for purpose in my eyes and probably many other supporter as well. By cancelling the MK Dons away fixture means less income for that club and the EFL should provide a level playing in financial terms by removing Bury from the league..
