tomorrow can't come quick enough 14:17 - Oct 16 with 2263480 views | batman | Not for us, but for Bury. i was credit checking a potential customer and decided to nosey onto BFC's file and was (or maybe not) supprised to see a new CCJ for circa £22k lodged only Wednesday this week. looks like they are in need of a bumper crowd tomorrow to settle some bills

And the HMRC debt increased by another £350k. 6 more weeks of not paying wages and the club closed? Not sure how that will pan out?

Will the EFL not now need some sort of guarantees from the Buckets that they will be able to actually fulfil the fixtures due for release tomorrow? A delay of six week is a complete load of bollocks. I hope they are now wound up in 6 weeks time on the eve of the new season and cause the EFL massive problems with fixtures etc. as it all they deserve for not stepping in and sorting this out. The EFL are becoming more of a joke day by day. [Post edited 19 Jun 2019 10:49]

tomorrow can't come quick enough on 10:49 - Jun 19 with 4662 views | KenBoon | Just three days before the start of the season. Clubs and fans will have already made plans. If the efl include them (they will) are they going to refund any advanced train ticket sales and hotel bookings fans may have purchased should bury's first game be at home? They've had two months to sort this and gone nowhere but backwards.

There's more learned people than me on this thread but an adjournment until July 31st would mean that there is no route to an enforced administration to force Dale out and therefore it's six weeks of getting a bid together that will convince him to sell and that bid will have to get bigger and bigger as they approach July 31st. Big questions for the EFL now who whilst giving Bury time to sort themselves out, will need assurances that they can fulfil the fixtures as at the moment, it's clearly obvious that they can't unless something changes. Can they really allow a side to prepare for an opening day fixture knowing four days previous it could be called off? What if that team is a Wimbledon or a Southend requiring an overnight stay? Will the EFL be prepared to cover all.costs for teams arranging fixtures against Bury in August? I've no doubts that a deadline has been given and they will show leeway but concrete assurances will be needed way before July 31st
tomorrow can't come quick enough on 10:56 - Jun 19 with 4593 views | Cleedale | What an absolute joke - presumably because some 'joker-judge' dare not pull the curtain down! (...on a football club)! Surely they have now had long enough to at least sort some issues! THIS WHOLE SCENARIO has def. made a huge mockery of and highlighted a judicial system in this country that basically DOES NOT penalise crime...but rather keeps things rolling along nicely...guess what - to make more money and work for the judicial system. What a FRIGGIN joke!!!!
tomorrow can't come quick enough on 10:57 - Jun 19 with 4580 views | Sandyman | bury times says: 10:45am Bearing in mind what could have happened today, that is an excellent outcome for Shakers fans. On the footballing front, fans will understandably be concerned that players may leave while preparations still need to be made for the new season. However, the most important thing is that we still have a club right now. 10:40am And breathe. Another stay of reprieve for the Shakers until the end of July. Let's hope a buyer comes forward now and saves the day. Dodging due process (cheating) is an "excellent result" And they STILL think a knight in shining armour will punt for them after Eaves, Day and Dale. #diluted .

Plays into Dale’s hands. That’s a 6 week negotiating window for a deal to be done. If you’re Dale, you are not going to rush to recruit players or a manager in that time. Effectively a wait and see adjournment. The money will still need to be repaid to HMRC to free them from this process.

Absolutely ridiculous, it’s like being on death row in America, when the guilt is 100% proven but they keep appealing to delay the inevitable. For fairport convention fans, they really are the John babbacombe lee of football, although they won’t get away with it after the trapdoor fails to open the 3rd time. Got to look at the positives though, effectively if they survive, there will only be 3 relegation places to be avoided!!!! [Post edited 19 Jun 2019 11:06]

Just read the judge hasn't given a reason. Could this be to do with the NDA's? Perhaps the Sultan of Brunei won't sign on the dotted line until those elusive accounts have finally been submitted.

I presume that the Judge won't be looking at the bigger picture, millions of debt, no one running the club, no manager, no players or staff being paid - no way to plan for an upcoming season. All he is looking at is the HMRC debt and the slim chance it will be paid in 6 weeks time. Statement's must surely be made today or in the next days by bury fc and the football league.

No pre season training because they won’t have any players, and surely they can’t use Carrington anymore anyway, no recruiting being done because they’ve no one to do it,no pre season friendlies because they probably won’t have enough players to play a game. How can they even think they can start the season ? It’s an absolute joke !!! [Post edited 19 Jun 2019 12:15]

tomorrow can't come quick enough on 12:42 - Jun 19 with 3984 views | smaclad1 | OK. We've all been focussed on the huge, no make that ABSOLUTELY F*CKIN' HUMUNGOUS, historic debts over the last few days. And a reprieve of sorts has been granted as fornever bury pursue their agenda of forcing administration which will result in losses to a variety of local businesses who are unsecured creditors, thereby possibly forcing several out of business and causing redundancies. But hey ho, what are ruined lives as long as you have a football team to support. But - looking away from the historic debts, what about the day to day stuff? The leccy bill, the phone bill, the water bill, business rates etc etc. Cos if you don't pay these, you can't open the doors, you can't take money from the gullible for season tickets, you won't have a pitch, the bailiffs will be round again. And the majority of ratepayers in the Borough of Bury will be up in arms if the Council writes off uncollected business rates as irrecoverable. Or loses them altogether if the Club goes bust. But hey ho, what price the protection of vulnerable children and adults, education, libraries, environmental health etc etc as long as you have a football team to support. bury are skint. They can't pay the day to day. They can't pay the debts. They can't see the bleedin' obvious. But on they plough, oblivious to the harm and damage they are doing by fiddling the system again and again and again.
tomorrow can't come quick enough on 13:01 - Jun 19 with 3888 views | SuddenLad | Just for good measure HMRC have added £350,000 to their outstanding debt this morning and interest on their outstanding loans is increasing at the rate of £1,500 per day. It's a disgusting pi$$ take and should not be allowed to continue. If the EFL don't step in now and put an end to the uncertainty, is is they who are not fit for purpose. They have a duty to all other clubs in League One and their supporters, to enable them to make appropriate arrangements ahead of the season. More so, when the fixtures are released, so FFS just get on with it and put the club and its' supporters out of their lingering agony.

tomorrow can't come quick enough on 19:16 - Jun 7 by RAFCBLUE | I'm not sure of the 2019-20 rules but I believe there is a rile historically. It's in the FA’s ”Rules of the Game” Section J Rule 3 starting: ”Players in a Match must be of the same gender”... Nothing to stop one manager coaching two teams. |
Thanks for the clarification As far as i can see, the only way bury will have any players available for the first fixture in August (like, who in their right mind would sign for them now?), would be for the club to bribe their women's team to self-identify as males and then challenge the authorities to disallow them from taking the field I suspect the EFL would cave in, easily enough

Ball Number 8! An 8 Ball! Can't make this up - someone's having a reeeet larf with that at efl? Mind you, probably a lot of their supporters might be in need of some of that in the coming weeks. Perhaps they could be referring to the Black 8 Ball in Pool? You know, pot that and you're a winner. Sorry, that just can't be because to carry on playing the next game you'd have to put some money in! As an aside we've just acquired a new name out yonder - CROTCHDALE.

I saw that too. That jimcognitto chatecter is comedy gold. The latest in a long line of bURY idiots that don’t care about us but talk about us and this thread, that effectively tried to warn and help them. I honestly think it’s only the fa cup stuff that’s stopping them being wound up as the efl probably don’t want a club that’s won it going pop. Had it been us I doubt we would have been given the same ridiculous freedom to take the piss.
