“This has been on-going all the way through the season and we just managed to keep it quiet, to keep the players happy and not disturb what we were trying to do.” All the way through the season and yet they signed further players in January? The contradictory nature of their comments is not lost on anyone outside of every single person who celebrated their “remarkable achievement”.

And 442, the contrast between the back end of the season and now. As far as I can tell there are zero preparations being made for next season which is just 8 weeks away. Three obvious items: 1) No released and retained list. 2) No new manager speculation. Skybet has the top five favourites as Dabid Flitcroft, Owen Coyle, Derek Adams, Ian Holloway and Russell Slade. 3) Friendlies. Even Radcliffe Borough have theirs lined up. Speaking to the bury times, the Radcliffe Chairman admitted “We have sent emails but with everything that goes on — they are in an awful situation — it’s understandable. I know we won’t be top of their agenda at the moment, but we’ve only got a week spare and from our point of view we want to get the whole thing boxed off.” Must be bad when Radcliffe can host Leicester but bury can get anything arranged.

Let us see if they are confirmed as real games and if you have any players to play in them. And a ground to play them on.

No players ,no manager, doesn't really matter at the minute, as long as we have some sort of team to watch on a Saturday at whatever level that will be will do for me. Hopefully at gigg lane, although I really don't think bury council would be quick in granting planning permission if Steve Dale has other ideas.

tomorrow can't come quick enough on 08:36 - Jun 10 with 4190 views | aleanddale | Massive two weeks coming up for the gigglers. Still no manager - still no retained list - still no 2018 accounts. Worth a mention in this two weeks it will be another £100 000 lost! ( £50k a week ). The club (bury) has obviously gained unfair competitive advantage spending WAY above there means for 5/6 years under Day. You could go back a lot further to the events leading up to the last administration. If they think they can now finger Day and NOT be held to account as a club they are mistaken. Day was the appointed Chur so his actions are the clubs actions.

Pretty sure the last paragraph sums up their plight. This is the predicament that Luton found themselves in, being held responsible, as a club, for the misdemeanours off previous regimes. Using that as an example, two relegations and a -30 points reduction is not beyond the bounds of possibility, never mind any possible criminal enquiry and/or Court outcome.

I get the impression the noose is tightening around Day. Rightly so what a tit he was. Deserves all he gets IMO the amount of lives ( not just bury fans ) he has ruined.

It's the lives ruined and things that gets me. Whilst I do feel sorry for the staff at Bury not getting paid etc. The arrogance of the 'just go into admin and wipe our debts' brigade is a bit hypocritical. What about those creditors that are relying on the money? What if they go bust meaning a complete loss of business or redundancies etc for them? Will they start food banks for those employees too?
tomorrow can't come quick enough on 10:14 - Jun 10 with 4003 views | 1907 | It is beyond ridiculous that Day can just write off all that cash, then set up a new company with a slightly different name & just carry on as usual.

They've done it before. Repeat offenders. That's what makes this even worse. The absolute and blatant indifference towards people whose livelihoods and investments have gone/will go down the pan. The negligence and incompetence is staggering. The arrogance of SD1 who claims that he left the club 'in a far better place than when I arrived' is deeply offensive to those affected. I can see some very serious outcomes for both the club and, eventually, those who were in positions of authority who brought this situation about. Anything less would be a travesty, for many reasons.

There was a phrase coined for this type of thing in the 1970s, by (i think) Ted Heath: "The unacceptable face of capitalism" Anyone who knows me knows that i'm hugely in favour of the free market and liberal economics, but it really is this type of thing that gets people's backs up and gives ammunition to those who'd like to curtail all our freedoms with a more authoritarian system Regardless of what happens to bury fc and the petty infighting among their followers, i'm more interested in what happens to Day. If he just gets away scot free to continue his dire activities it'll be all of us who'll be worse off. Making an example of him would have the opposite effect. I'm nowhere near familiar with the law in this area, but if he's allowed to continue without being prosecuted it absolutely stinks Edit: but i do understand the principle of liability, in that individuals who're prepared to put their time and money into starting a company with the intention of developing new products or ideas should be allowed the possibility of redemption if their honest endeavours fail, otherwise there'd be no free enterprise. It's where the line is drawn between honest endeavours (which create employment and give value to the economy) and multifarious schemes which don't that matters [Post edited 10 Jun 2019 11:31]

https://www.burytimes.co.uk/sport/17695626.duo-linked-to-bury-job-insist-all-the Looks like they are targeting a managerial duo who knows the non-league scene. You know when a manager denies being approached, he’s been approached! Would be a good move for Johnson and Morley given they are local. Can't see an established manager taking a risk with them.

Hilarious if true. Salford got rid for a more “professional” approach, and here League zone Bury are weighing them up. Probably shows what sort of wage budgets they have, if they survive, and in all reality Hill would be far to expensive an option. Also shows Bury might be preparing for their future in non-league.

When Lowe was rumoured to be off to Luton last season they all said that the new manager odds were a load of shite and changed whenever anyone put a fiver on. However, now it affects them then it’s all ace and Keith Hill would be a great appointment to annoy the Daleys. If there was a prize for the most entertaining fans then this lot would win the equivalent of the quadruple season upon season. [Post edited 10 Jun 2019 14:44]

Not sure it would annoy any of us though. I don’t really care where Hill ends up. He had a great couple of spells with us but it ended badly. Good time for both club and Hill that he left when he did.
