Seeing as there's only 4 or 5 windows in the ticket office, queues are inevitable. You'd like to think people would book their tickets in advance or make a real effort to get there very early.

Yes sales have been very good today! Around the 11,000 mark sold! Which is good and there will be over 13,000. I think the South Stand will be opened up at some point!

Good grief, I thought it was pretty clear what I was saying, but I'll try again.
£1 makes very little difference financially to the club or to a fan buying tickets. However, kids for a quid is excellent from a marketing standpoint. It promotes value for money and people are more likely to buy 'as it's only a quid'. It may sound counter-intuitive, but it's proven to work. It also promotes goodwill among fans, as the club are seen to be making every effort for people to be able to see games as cheaply as possible during a tough economic period.
As for agreeing pricing with York, they're not expecting many of them to travel (I think I read 200?) and are openly talking about playing a weakened team, so I don't think they would have disagreed.
The club can win and they do a lot. They get a lot more right than they do wrong. That doesn't mean that when they do get things wrong that they should get a free pass. Not unless you want to be sheep and risk ending up like Cardiff. [Post edited 25 Aug 2015 10:47]

Kids for a quid is simply better from a marketing point of view. Just like 'Buy One, Get One Free' is such a powerful marketing tool, even if in many cases it's not a good deal for the consumer. The same reason pound shops are thriving, even if you're actually buying a smaller amount of the product than in a supermarket, the premise of only paying a pound makes people think they're getting a good deal.

I could be wrong but not sure we will see the walk up tonight, the perfect pricing was £10/£5 and £1 but York didn't want that - we still seem to be one of the cheapest ties for tonight which represents value for money

The Swans welcome the League Two side to the Liberty Stadium on Tuesday, August 25 with a kick-off time of 7.45pm.
Please be aware that ticket prices will increase on the day of the game (August 25) - see below for details.
Ticket collections will be from the trailer outside the Ticket Office - there will be a large number of collections so we advise supporters to arrive early.
Meanwhile, there will also be two Cash Only tills inside the Ticket Office and we advise supporters where possible to bring the correct cash for ease and speed of transaction.
