At the last ever ATP festival he took my friend's sailor hat off her and wore it on stage, then found us on twitter later and gave it back to us and bought us a drink
And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot

Utterly subjective, could choose many of the above - definitely not Freddie Mercury though Metalica, I'm no Queen fan after Seven Sea of Rhye, but I watched a concert fairly recently and realised that (for me) his pantomime buffoonery spoiled three pretty damn rarking! musicians.
So:
Rod Jarvis Shane
Honourable mention Ian Curtis, and yes disco perhaps Johnny Rotten - no, always Johnny Rotten!

I'm not a fan of Queen, but Mercury was genuinely incredible. I've seen the band perform with Rogers and he's an incredible singer in his own right, but he's not even 10% of Freddie. Charisma personified.
Bare bones.

Reminds me. In 1985, Ken's Christmas party, a tent in Finsbury Park.
One of the acts was (we went to see Madness) Marc Almond and the Willing Sinners. Much grumbling. I and the now Mrs Iz were both equally open-mouthed astonished at how powerful and charismatic a performer the little fella was! He's probably 6'4", but...
Imagination were also astonishingly entertaining that afternoon, but that doesn't mean Leee is going to make anyone's list any time soon.
