Whilst I'm a big fan of MOTD I have to say that there was something missing with the absenceof Alan Hansen.

Lawrenson is just a scruffy Nobber, Savage talks absolute nonsense, Mills is a decent enough pundit and whilst Alan Shearer may have had football feet he doesn't have a football brain.

Seems to me the BBC are lurching from one set of deadwood to the other and need a pundit who actually knows what he's talking about and isn't afraid to say it,

I thought he became very lazy towards the end and actually looked bored rigid sat back in his chair like he was waiting for his cab home!
