Yes I did seriously vote Labour,as I have done at every election since I was able to vote in 1960. I could no more vote Tory than I could support "the scum" it is no accident that their colours are the same.

I saw some Scottish voters asked why they no longer vote Labour and to a man the main reason was Blair and his holy war in the middle east. also it is perceived that they no longer represent the working classes up their. I have voted for every party over the years... Green, UKIP, Labour, Libs, the lot! Its about what is best for the country at a particular time for me. This time I voted conservative because of a few things... 1. the economy in this country is doing better than a lot of other countries in Europe. Not bad considering the Tories were told "there's no money left" by Labour on there way out. 2. Gordon Brown sold off all the gold at rock bottom prices costing the country billions of pounds. 3. I found Milliband totally uninspiring. 4. And yes Blair lied to everyone and has created one hell of a mess. I can understand people working in the public sector voting Labour but I think we need a little more pain for the long term good of our country... Just my opinion.

For a good number of people in this country its an absolute no brainer to vote Labour, ok you and the duke of westminister may not be amongst them but generally people vote for who they think will do themselves, their family and then the country the most good.
Not every person in the country are in the upper echelons of society , just because you may benefit significantly from a Tory government doesnt mean it is so clear cut for everyone else, why not just have a bit of tolerance for peoples individual circumstances and perspectives. The Country and the world would be a better place if we all tried to do a bit more of that rather than calling everyone who isnt a mirror image of ourselves a muggy caant

I'd rather those two running riot than Millepede and Ballsup! At least most people will likely still have plenty of options available to earn a living......which could have been doubtful under the latter (unless you were seeking a non-job in the public sector of course!)

But the whole premise of IDS cuts to the welfare system is to push those who are sick and disabled away from support. How can you say that you want to help people who need assistance whilst voting for a party which doesn't?

That's a good post- beats the hell out of some of the political personal abusive posts I've read on the election threads. Like Rongould I've voted Labour since I was first allowed to vote, unfortunately when Blair turned up I gave up my Labour party membership-I just couldn't take to the bloke. I had a huge amount of time for the late John Smith who led the party until his untimely death.
To the winners-hurrah-hurrah-whatever, to the losers-we'll go again.

People do realise that no one voted for Miliband or Cameron or Farage unless you live in their constituency?
The vast vast majority of people in or around QPR did vote for representatives that WERE Labour.
I'm doubtful if a single person on this board actually voted for any of the leaders.

Most people on this board spend thousands a year following QPR , thats expendable income . Do they do other leisure stuff ? of course they do , more expendable income . I see hundreds of kids with their parents on matchdays , a cheap day out ??
Ask how close Rangers fans live to the ground and lots will tell you they live in some of the most expensive areas in the country .
And they all voted Labour ?

If there ever was any low hanging fruit to be picked off by the myth of efficiency savings, it's long gone. This lot is coming off the front line mate.
This whole story that Labour overspent and the Tories wouldn't have is a magnificent piece of propaganda, brilliantly perpetuated by a media which serves its mega wealthy owners vested interests
I hate the uncaring,robotic Tories with a passion but I couldn't bring myself to vote Labour in the end.What swung it for me was the unprecedented levels of bullying,intimidation and ridicule from media to the public forum,the same misconception that only they are the arbiters of morality and everything else should be suppressed.In the end they f*cked themselves,the tactics rebounded and the "shy" Tories spoke. When Labour finally achieve a modicum of maturity and not constantly adopt the excesses of the university student they may rise again.In certain areas you could put a red rosette on a traffic cone and still get the votes.

So you have to be in the higher echolons of society to vote Tory? Well believe it or not there were probably quite a few people who are real working class that also voted Tory as there would have been a few in the higher classes that voted Labour. I've never been a floating voter and annot personally understand this concept, but that is me. I suspect that like most people each party has a few ideas in their manifestos that we could all pick and choose from, it is just that I feel that Tory's bring greater economic stability than Labour ever could and with this more people then benefit.
