Highlights / Lowlights of 2014/15 17:39 - Apr 20 with 2393 viewsRosun

It's getting near that time of the year when the season ticket renewal drops on the letterbox and I mull over the last 9 months of on and off the pitch activities at my beloved club.

Anybody care to share their highs and lows of the soon to be finished 14-15 season?

Highs:
3-0 v Preston @ Spotland. Awesome performance from everyone. Just one of those games where everything just clicked.

Bradford away. Calvin Andrew. 'Nuff said.

Emergence of home grown players. Andy Cannon, Scott Tanser. Real promise for the future.

Lows:
Matt Lund @ Chesterfield. Proper blow so early on.

Oldham @ Spotland. Knobheads.

Conrad Logan's injury. Gutted for the guy.

Highs: Great last minute wins V Swindon, Bratfurt & dirty Port Vale, not forgetting the splendid win V Preston.

Seeing the likes of Allen, Cannon, Tanser etc come through the youth system and be up to League 1 standard.

V Notts Forest in the FA cup and giving it a damn good go V Stoke City in the next round.

Lows: The disgraceful "refereeing" of Scott "Notts" Mathieson and his assistants V Notts Cheaty.

The neanderthals of Biffoland.

Selling Matt Done.

High and Low - Conrad Logan

Hightlights:

* The young first year pro's breaking through without looking out of place.
* Beating Nottingham Forest
* Calvin's goals against Bradford and Port Vale
* Raff's first league goal for us (and probably goal of the season)
* Finishing the season not only safe but going on to challenge for the playoffs
* Emphatic away wins at Yeovil, Crawley etc.

Lowlights:

* Both Oldham games
* Oldham supporters
* Lund's injury plagued season
* Logan's premature end to his spell
* Notts County at home, cheated out of the win
* Selling Matty Done when we had momentum going.

If I hadn't seen such riches, I could live with being poor

The Notts Cvnty at home debacle was the only real low for me. The majority of everything else this season has been a joy.
