Although the gates were so much smaller then, roughly the same amount of people joined in as the recent protests outside Bloomfield Rd.

Even then, there was a sense of fan apathy to anything off the field that is still prevalent today.

Interesting thing about all of that was it was all about the stadium - whilst there wasn't much love for the Oyston's it was all about wanting a stadium built and Karl will forever bang on that it was he that did that (albeit that the O's profited from it substantially and continue to do so!)
