Don't think I had forgotten this!!!!
Okay, I thought I would start this as I mentioned it so lets go (dates will be rough estimates):

Saturday 3rd May: Lose to Charlton but still manage to survive

Confirmed that Club Secretary Matt Williams is leaving the club

Rumours that Fergie will not be getting the managers job

5 contracted players for next season.

7th May: Tom Barkhuizen has year option taken up by club, now 6 contracted players.

Approach made to Dundee United about their manager, refused permission to talk by club.

KO states he wants to have new manager appointed within 7 to 10 days.

8th May: Confirmed Barry Fergusson has left the club.

12th May: KO states he has shortlist of 6 or 7 for the managerial position and says he was never really interested in Jackie McNamara of Dundee United.

600 ST sales compared to 9000 this time last year even though prices really cheap.

13th May: News that 27 supporters have received private banning orders from the club through the post (not confirmed by club)

Matt Williams on Radio Lancs States club want players who will commit to living in the area and who will mix well. KO has short list of managers, many are foreign and whoever takes the job will have to buy into the unusual ways KO does things!

14th May: Blackpool have 4 days to take up options on 9 players including, Bishop, Broadfoot, Fuller, if not done they can walk away for free. 11 other players are now without a contract including, Gilks, Osbourne, Cathcart and Basham.

The fact there is no manager in place to speak to these players is a concern.

It is believed KO has now spoken to the 7 on the short list and us strongly considering an overseas manager.

15th May: no manager to be appointed by this weekend as search continues.

Karl states he has a long term plan for the club and that he will be talking to a couple of prospective managers over the weekend with a view to appointing one next week.

He wants the person to focus on our youth set up, apparently we have the staff already in place.

PNE manage an unprecedented 9th play off phuck up as they lose 3-1. At Rotherham. Still in league 1

16th May: 17 players released by Pool, none of the remaining players with an option have had their options activated, the club want to discuss terms with 7 players. One of those Ricardo Fuller states he would be interested in re-signing but only if the training ground was sorted out and the off field problems were also sorted, another damning indictment on Karl Oyston.

From nowhere Dutchman Ricardo Moniz is the bookies favourite to take the hot seat at BR.
He currently manages in Poland and has previously been a coach with Tottenham.

19th May: confirmed KO went to Poland to watch Moniz's side play but states may not have spoken to him.

KO has extended his deadline as he wants to speak to all 6 people on his short list, one of which he may have spoken to this weekend.

21st May: Jose Riga is the latest manager linked to the Pool. The ex Charlton boss says he is interested in us and Brum. He could also bring back Pool old boy Paul Hart.

22nd May: Chris Hough takes over as club secretary from Crawley Town.

23rd May: From nowhere, Mike Phelan enters the betting market all the way down to 6/4 and Mansfields Paul Cox shortens to 3/1. From the sublime to the ridiculous, these 50p bets from AVFTT are shaping the market!!

Absolutely no BFC news on the Gazette website, a no news day?

24th May: odds checker now not showing any betting on the next Blackpool manager, has someone been appointed and betting is closed or is there no one who wants the job?

Speculation frenzy (well, a few people on a message board) as Glenn Bowley tweets an ominous single tweet of "underwhelmed" is this manager related, if so could it be worse than Paul Ince or Nigel Worthington?

25th May: Does a day go by without a new favourite at the top of the betting odds? Brian Flynn is the latest to go odds on, manager? DOF? or just made up nonsense?

26th May: As we enter week 4 since the last game of the season it is congratulations to Fleetwood Town and promotion to League 1 and their supportive, forward thinking chairman.
Meanwhile in the halls of Bloomfield Road, still no manager, 6 players and a mention of Russell Slade!!!

27th May: Ummmmmmmmm!!!! Just a bonkers day, but ultimately..... Nowt!!

Until late in the day when it is confirmed Flynn was about to take over but alast minute U turn by Karl stopped the deal, the reasons believed to be supporters reaction and that Flynn could not assemble a back room staff. Back to the drawing board.

About 4 weeks till players report back for training.

29th May: 27 days since the end of the season and Since the news Flynn won't be our new manager all we have news wise is a Gazette poll putting Jose Riga as the supporters choice followed by Billy Davies and Mike Phelan.

As teams around us prepare for pre season and start adding to their squads we are now back to square one with no credible manager even on any list it would appear. Just over 3 weeks until the players report back for training.

29th May: Hoggy conducts a social media poll asking if Blackpool supporters think ?Karl Oyston should resign or not.

A total of 567 votes were cast 551 in favour of him resigning, 16 wanting him to stay. Maybe Will Watt of the Gazette may have something to say about that?

30th May: Will Watt says he has heard manager may be in place by Tuesday and name not mentioned in the past week.

31st May: KO appears on SSN and dismisses urgency in getting manager and will not be rushed into making an appointment and the person has to buy into the way he does things!

4th June: RIGA not quite manager yet, just the small thing of having to sign a contract!! Gentlemans agreement with KO, signing to take place 8th June!!

Ex employee??? No, I took the photos for the 1984/85 season though when I was studying photography at Palatine Road!

I actually started the timeline as a totally honest project as I thought it would be interesting how KO would deal with a clean slate after the last home game. I thought he might make some peculiar decisions and be poor but I wanted to give him a chance to see if he could actually change and do the right thing. Never in my weirdest of imaginations could I have foreseen what has actually happened. What you see is a timeline, nothing more, nothing less. Information taken from news sources and I have tried to avoid any rumours or the like.

I will keep it going until the end of the transfer window at the end of August and hopefully it will be a good historical record of what the club did and how they did it for the 4 months from the end of the season 2013/14.
