Getting warmer.

http://www.ajaxnow.nl/?p=849

"Ajax has already achieved two new strikers with Arkadiusz Milik and Richairo Zivkovic and hopes to take Kolbeinn Sigthórsson, which only has a one-year contract. Farewell this month Queens Park Rangers have serious interest and although the agent of the Icelander recently indicated that for a while is not spoken, a transfer seems near.

Ajax and QPR nearing an agreement on a transfer fee for Sigthórsson, says director of football affairs Marc Overmars from Ajax to Voetbal International. "I've had some good talks with QPR about Kolbeinn. As far as the transfer is concerned, we are close to each other. But it is also important what the player wants, "says sports director.

According Overmars QPR would be a "great opportunity" for the 24-year-old Sigthórsson, who played in three years 59 league games for Ajax and scored it 24 times. "Look how Wilfried Bony faring in the Premier League. Who went to Swansea City and State after one season all the interest of the English clubs' in said Overmars. QPR was promoted in the past year football to the Premier League by beating Derby County. In the finals of the playoffs"

Yes that does seem a cut above the usual "linked with" or "interested in" stories - fingers crossed

We have thrown in Harry's wife's recipe for lemon meringue and use of the club's swivel chair at weekends.

Never knowingly right.

Overmars basically trying to shove the deal over the line by making it clear he's no longer wanted.

Brilliant Bosh, thanks for the memories...

However in light of this comment I am a bit concerned we're not seriously in for him. There's no way he can be expected to sign without the use of the automatic bottle opener.

Just what I was thinking, he is very keen to get rid of this guy, to the promised land of the Premier league, with lowly QPR as the first stepping stone.

This guy sounds like a right tw*t IMO, especially having his brother as his agent who just tries to get as much money as possible
