Dale’s first visit to Altrincham in over 41 years on Tuesday will be refereed by ANDREW HUMPHRIES.
The Northamptonshire-based official is in his first season refereeing in the National League and has had a busy campaign with 13 appointments, including Altrincham’s game at Maidenhead in September.
Those 13 games have seen Andrew produce 49 yellow cards and two reds.
He was due to be in charge of Dale’s FA Cup fourth qualifying round tie at Hereford in October, but swapped games with Aji Ajibola, for some unknown reason.
Mr Humphries also referees regularly in Premier League 2, the reserve league for top flight clubs, where he recently officiated Chelsea U23 v Manchester United U23.
A school teacher in Daventry, Andrew shouldn’t be found wanting for fitness, having once completed 11 marathons in 11 days raising money for MS research.
