Swansea City : The offside goal ? Sheehan not happy. Cullen reacts to his free kick + Parker !

It’s very much about luck at times in the Championship. We take a look at the game highlights of Coventry v Swansea and ask a few questions.

Alan Sheehan was seen to remonstrate with referee Gavin Ward at half time as the teams left the pitch, and later on he mentioned the goal in his opinion was offside.

Alan Sheehan’s reaction is below.

Post match
Liam Cullen is possibly now getting the rewards for his hard graft since being at Swansea City. However, there is now a price on his head as the January window approaches. "I was delighted it went in, it's something I have always worked on. From when I was eighteen or nineteen myself and the kit man Shaun have been out there after training pretty much every day while I practice free-kicks. I haven't taken too many for the first team but I wanted to take more responsibility and be willing to be the one wanting to get hold of the ball. As soon as we had the foul I picked the ball up straight away, the lads asked me if I wanted it and I didn't want to give it up to anyone else. It was great it went in, and it was great to see all those hours of hard work pay off when it matters in a game, but the most important thing was it got us an important point away from home against a good side."

Snatched from under the noses of his home town club, Cardiff born debutant, Sam Parker was delighted to be in the first team and became an instant hit with the Jack Army. "I’m buzzing, all of the hard work has finally paid off, it’s just amazing to have got my first start, it was an amazing experience," he said. I couldn’t stop smiling when I was told that I’d be starting, it was kind of a shock because I wasn’t expecting it, I was just buzzing, a little bit nervous but it was really good. I didn’t feel much pressure on me with it being my first start, I just went out there and enjoyed myself, I think I did well and I could have got an assist, which would have really topped it off. I’ve learned so much from everyone, the tempo of football is so different, and off the pitch I’ve learned so much as a person and gained so much. It was amazing hearing the fans, too. It’s what you work for. As I was walking off just hearing them chant for me put a smile on my face, and the most important thing is we ended up getting a result for them."

The Jack Army were out in force last night.
