Rumours are starting to gather pace about Ethan Brierley and a potential big move for the youngster.
The 19-year-old midfielder has apparently been interesting Premier League sides and has been on trial at Championship promotion chasers Sheffield United in recent weeks. This would explain why he’s been missing from the match day squads recently at least.
Sheffield United are 13 points clear of Watford in third and look set to return to the Premier League next season.
Ethan has been at Dale since he was a kid and is a Rochdale supporter, having walked out with Ian Henderson as a mascot and as a team mate!
He’s made 32 appearances for Dale in all competitions, scoring once against Accrington Stanley in the Pizza Cup in Jim Bentley’s first game in charge. His last appearance was at the beginning of December in the awful 4-1 defeat to fellow strugglers Harrogate Town.
