Last Few Tickets Left For Carabao Cup Semi Final At St Mary's

With the game now only a day away, there are still a few tickets left for the visit of Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup semi final first leg at St Mary's surely these will be snapped up.

I have to say I am very surprised that there are tickets left for this one, after all we don't get to semi finals every season, although ironically despite some seeing this as one of the worst periods in the clubs history, this is the fourth in 7 years !

In fairness most of the tickets left are in the family stand and I'm not sure if adults can buy seats in there without taking a child along, but there are still some tickets in other areas.

Given that tickets are only £22.50 for adults and £7.50 for those under 18, there surely can be no question of affordability for many.

If we can't sell out a home League Cup semi final then what is football coming too, people have spent a lot of time moaning about how bad Saints are, yet here is a great chance to perhaps get some glory.

The last game against Manchester City saw a poor crowd and it would have been even worse had it not been for the number of floating supporters who came along for a chance to watch Manchester City, but I thought we would sell this one out.

The game is up for grabs, Newcastle are a side that are on a good run, but Crystal Palace showed that you can get a result against them.

This season may end in disaster in terms of the Premier League, but it may end in glory in the Carabao Cup, we caused an upset against Manchester City, we can do it again.

When we reached the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final we took 50,000 to Wembley in what was a secondary competition, now we have a semi final in one of the big three domestic competitions, yet there are those who for one reason or another aren't going.

This is not a dig at anyone, I can understand why there are those who feel that they cannot justify the financial cost of going week in week out in the Premier League, but this is a chance of glory, win this one and we have a good chance with most of the big teams already out, yet even this can't seem to excite some.
