Away Travel Distances 2022/23

Another season in League Two but with some key changes in who will be joining us We've calculated the distance involved in following Rochdale this season.

Last season saw the return of supporters to grounds following Covid-19 restrcitions and a return to League Two. Well lets hope it doesn't take us long enough to leave the division the right way for it to be known as 'The Rochdale Division' again!

We've lost our closest rivals and we've lost our greatest ever manager from the league in Oldham Athletic and Keith Hill's Scunthorpe United but they've been replaced by clubs that are very familiar to us. If you were to travel to every away game this season, you'd chalk up 5730 miles in round trips which is less than last season which was over 6000 miles.

We may have lost Oldham and it's 6 mile trip but we have gained Stockport County which is our second shortest trip of the season at 18 miles.

Scunthorpe may have gone but they've been replaced by Grimsby who won the National League Playoff Final against Solihull, meaning a slightly further trip east for Dale fans.

The shortest distance to travel will now be Salford City at 11 miles each way.

Our furthest trip is the trip to Crawley which clocks 257 miles each way. Hats off to those who make that trip!
