Rochdale have today announced the signing of former Bradford City goalkeeper Richard O'Donnell.
This was another of journalist Alan Nixon's rumours, like the Jordy Hiwula one, which we are yet to see, I must add.
O'Donnell, 33, started his career coming through the ranks at Sheffield Wednesday. He made 20 appearances during a six year spell. He had five separate loan spells while he was with the Owls, going out to York, Rotherham, Oldham, Grimsby and Macclesfield.
He left Hillsborough to join Chesterfield where he made 17 aappearances. He went on loan to Stockport as well, playing 20 games.
He signed for Walsall in 2013 and played much more football while he was there, playing 105 times over a two year period.
Wigan was his next destination but found first team action limited and headed out on-loan, and then permanently to Bristol City.
Spells at Rotherham and Northampton followed before settling at Bradford City where he made 137 appearances prior to his release.
