Jeff, Jeff will tear you apart again...

The introduction of Jefferson Montero into the fray was ultimately the change that was needed as Graham Potter got his Swansea league career off to a winning start as we came from behind to gain an opening day win at Sheffield United.

The Swans bounced back from disappointment early in the second half when they went a goal down to secure three points thanks to goals from Oliver McBurnie and a debut strike from Yan Dhanda just seconds after he replaced Jay Fulton.

The Swans could not have asked for many tougher looking fixtures to signal their return to the Championship after a seven year absence but the truth is we adapted well and showed a steel that was desperately missing last season as we came back from a goal down to win the game.

There were debuts for all four of our summer signings and all more than played their part in the game but it was the introduction of Montero that made a huge difference as his pace was a constant thread to the Blades defence and if we can keep him fit this season then we will have one of the divisions best weapons in our armoury.

At the back we looked solid despite conceding the first goal and if we can just strengthen a little in midfield then the return to the second tier may not be as painful as it was possibly predicted before the season started.

This was our first win on the road in 2018 and our first win of any kind since March which tells you much about how much a confidence boost was needed and there are many positives that Potter will take from the game.

As Potter said after the game "It was a tough game and in the first half we limited them to not too much despite not being as good as we wanted to be.

"Second half I thought we showed real quality and character and I am proud of the lads and pleased for the supporters"
