Nobody Believes The £30m Piece Surely?

It may well be that Chelsea do want Fernando Llorente to bolster their attack but nobody really believes the press reports that the Swans have put a £30m price tag on his head to do they?

I know that sometimes these things can happen and be reported purely to try and maybe put off the buying club but there is no way that Llorente - despite his great season last time around - is worth anywhere near £30m.

in fact, whilst I have no ITK knowledge to back it up with, I would almost imagine a scenario where if Chelsea bid even a third of that amount then we would be almost certainly accepting and implementing whatever plan we have to replace him.

For what it is also worth I cannot see that Chelsea are really about to make a move. Having just splashed out £60m on Morata, they already have Batshuyai in the background so quite why they would need to spend big on a third choice is beyond me.

Don't get me wrong I am not knocking Llorente. We know the value that he added to us last season and I expect much the same from him again this time around. He is without a doubt a class act but for a team like Chelsea I think they will always set their sights higher than a 30+ year old striker to rely on should the worse happen.

There is no doubt in my mind that come the end of August Fernando Llorente will still be a Jack and hopefully starting to bang in the goals again. With the class looking Tammy Abraham also in the wings it promises to be better for the Swans this time around.

And for the record. If Chelsea offered £30m, I'd drive him there myself with all best wishes...! Oh, and don't call be Shirley
