G.M's Match Preview: Rams To End 2014 With Revenge On The Damned

After a much needed solid performance and result against Birmingham City, Derby will look to take revenge on Leeds United after their defeat at Elland Road a few weeks back.

Once again the Sky cameras will be on hand to see the Rams in action in front of over 30 thousand fans at the iPro.

Russell, Ibe and Hughes all played well against Birmingham, but the main talking point before that game was whether Eustace would make a return to the starting line-up. He did and there seemed more balance and cohesion, resulting in a great victory.

Lee Grant's save to his right when the score was two nil, cannot be underestimated. Goalkeepers can win a team points with great saves in the same way a striker can scoring goals.

Ibe and Russell should remain in the starting line-up. Buxton is available after suspension and if Hendrick recovers from a knock, Derby should remain unchanged.

Leeds have not pushed on since 'doing a job' on Derby when winning 2-0 at Elland Road a few weeks back. That's actually Leeds' last victory and they have only won one away game all season, which came against Bournemouth back in September.

Hopefully Derby will be able to capitalise on Leeds recent poor form and finish 2014 with back to back wins.

Derby seems to still be hurting from the defeat to Leeds back in November and when a Ram is hurt these days, they come out fighting.

Derby to win and Martin to score.

Happy New Years to all RamZone readers and COYR!
