Young left back Andrew Howell has joined local non-league outfit Wealdstone on loan.
Andrew is now a regular for the reserves but has yet to make a serious challenge for the first team. The highly rated full back made just one appearance for the R's last season, in the home league cup tie against Northampton Town. He is yet to make a first team appearance this season.
Howell joined the R's as a junior after beginning his career at Norwich City. He signed his first professional contract in 2006 and allegedly turned down the chance to join the Marines to play professional football.
The 18 year old will stay at Wealdstone until May 3rd 2008 and is in line to make his debut against Ramsgate in the Ryman Premier League tomorrow.
