Ashley WIlliams has expressed his desire to become full time captain of Wales
The Swansea City defender has led his country several times in the past and now wants to be in the running after Craig Bellamy said that he no longer wished to be considered as captain.
“I would be interested in captaining Wales full-time,” Williams told the Western Mail.
“Most people would like to captain their country so that is definitely something that I’m interested in.
“I like being captain and it gives me an extra bit of responsibility and I enjoy it.
“But if the manager picks someone else that is fine and I’m fully behind that decision.”
