Swans Capitulate In Yorkshire
Huddersfield v Swansea |
Peter Jackson was ordered to the stands for the second time this season but his dismissal inspired Huddersfield to beat Swansea 3-2. Swansea striker Lee Trundle scored a ninth-minute penalty and then bagged his second two minutes before half-time to put the visitors in charge. Jackson was left fuming when referee Neil Swarbrick awarded Swansea a throw-in which led to the second goal. Trundle fired home at the far post and, immediately after the restart, Jackson was sent to the stands. But Huddersfield skipper Jon Worthington swept home in the 67th minute and, eight minutes later, Pawel Abbott curled a shot beyond Willy Gueret. In the 90th minute Abbott was pulled down by Marcus Painter and stepped up to fire the penalty winner. In the fourth minute of stoppage time, Trundle was given the red card for a suspected elbow. www.thisissouthwales.co.uk Share Your Views | Rate The Players What to read next:Dale’s game at Forest Green Rovers on Saturday will be refereed by JAMES DURKIN.
