Rotherham Preview

Same Again Please Swans

Swansea City v Rotherham - Match Preview

From A Swansea Perspective

After the Lord Mayors show? We certainly hope not as the Swans look to a repeat of the five goal destruction of Carlisle at the Liberty last weekend. Different opponents naturally but it will be pretty much the same Swans side so is it too much to wish for more of the same for Christmas?

Team News

Andy Robinson has been collecting his cards a bit too early for Christmas so he will sit this one out (or will he be doing Xmas shopping?) which means that the Butler may do it as he is in line for Robbo's place on the left hand side of last weeks hugely effective midfield quartet. Other than that we will be unchanged unless the manager has lost his marbles.

Rotherham defender Pablo Mills is hoping to be passed fit after a calf injury, but Colin Murdock is out with a thigh strain.

Lee Williamson, Michael Keane and Paul Hurst all remain sidelined.

Form Guides

We're getting good at this home game stuff. Four wins in the last six with the other two drawn makes for nice reading and it is three months to the day since we last lost at the league at home. uh-oh.....

Rotherham had ten points deducted at the start of the season - if they hadnt then they would be almost above us. Blah blah - who cares they did and they aren't so that settles that one. 7 points from the last 18 on the road isn't very good really. Surely that says home win?

What The Bookies Say

For the second week running we are 4/5 to gain a home win with our visitors priced at 3/1 - a longer shot than the draw at 12/5

Without looking I can tell you that LT10 will be favourite to score the first goal and with looking I can tell you that the odds are 7/2 with Uncle Rory in next at 9/2. Ian Craney at 13/2 follows Bayo and Robbo (hee hee) at 5/1. Dennis Lawrence is more deadly than Fred Elliott these days and he can be backed at 22/1 for first goal whilst Leon at 12/1 may also look a decent bet.

I almost called a double last week with Izzy first in a 4-0 win which was close to Den in a 5-0. This week's double as I look for a first of the season is Butler to score first in a 4-1 Swans win - 310/1 would make a nice Xmas present for any one.

What Do The Fans Think?

87 predictions to date sees 80 plump for a home win and 7 for a draw. LT10 (49) is way clear of top league scorer Rory Fallon with 19 votes.

The prediction league crew tell you that 2-0 (22) and 2-1 (20) are the most popular predictions to date

JackArmy.net Predicts

We're on a roll and it ain't a Turkey one just yet. That can only mean one thing - three more points for the Swans as they win by three clear goals. You mark my words
