Millwall warning

Leeds United have advised fans travelling to Millwall to consider using coaches as the ever consistent Network Rail have advised south Bermondsey station will be closed for maintenance on the day of our visit on November 18th!

South Bermondsey station is well equipped to deal with potential powder keg fixtures at the New Den, such as our visit, as it has a specially designed separate walkway for away fans so as soon as you leave the train, you take a sharp right and the partially covered walkway takes you the final 250 yards or so to the away turnstiles.

However with the game being switched to a 1:15 Sunday kickoff to suit Sky TV, Network Rail have warned the station will be closed that day and have not ruled out disruption on services from the north to Kings Cross.

With parking not readily available, many Whites' followers will have no option but to travel by coach. Again the coaches are protected by a huge ring of steel.

I think Millwall's reputation these days is over exaggerated and nothing like the days of the Old Den and that infamous Panorama programme in the 70's about F-Troop and Arry the Dog! To give the club some credit, they have worked hard to portray themselves as a family club at the heart of the community, however you are still likely to be taunted with chants of "Istanbul" etc when we play there, mass stabbing gestures and "Always look out for Turks..." zzzzzzz

On our last visit, when Ross McCormack's solitary goal won it for us, the Leeds contingent were brilliant and did not rise to the bait, taunting our tormentors with chants of "Boring, boring Millwall".

Millwall later banned a fan for ten years following our win in March for waving a Turkish flag at the away fans.
