The FAW have just issued a statement acknowledging this is now over.

and a reminder that 12 years ago now we were heading to a League Cup Final having knocked out Liverpool (away) and Chelsea on the way.

The club need to focus on the short term.

& irrespective of politics I am not sure this was ever a starter.

The football calendar and the fixture congestion makes it close to impossible to allow league clubs to play in this tournament. More league games are becoming Thursday night/Friday night/Sat 1230/Sun 1230 making the 48 hour rest rule even harder for new competitions. And could our pitch take on another midweek competition?

Why hasn't any director of football stayed at the club for a long period - to create some stability?

He talks about vital games coming up but I pretty much feel our season is now over.

When a team loses badly to poor teams like Portsmouth and Cardiff then we need to manage our expectations for the rest of the season (= not good for season ticket sales).

our fans should also consider the anti-english chants.
most of our players / management team are english.

and we have a lot of supporters living in England.

Various Swans players have said to me that they just don't get the anti-English hate when the team is full of englishmen.
