As the saying goes, although perhaps not in the same context, “two’s company, three’s a crowd”.

That’s the issue, I don’t think they’ve an adequate alternative kit.

If we started adding Lancashire Cup goals from the 1960s and 1970s then I should imagine that Big Reg’s career goal tally would increase.

Going off comments during the game tonight is it worth giving Corey Edwards an extended run,

Altrincham and Hartlepool both winning at the moment so Dale are down to ninth as it stands.
A minimum of three games in hand on other teams though and Hartlepool will have played five more.
Halifax also in action - drawing at Southend.

Or the saga of that pile of tyres at the Pearl St/Willbutts Lane corner.
It took ages for those to be shifted.

There can’t be a Plan B when the players are all clones. Small, whippet like.
No way would someone like Peter Vincenti or Calvin Andrew have got anywhere near a BBM or a BJ team.
There are times though when you need lads like to win against certain teams.

The Ebbsfleet manager is on their website in a video taken in a team huddle on the pitch after the game telling them how good they were and how it was their best performance for a long time.
Totally different perspective.

We might be able to detect if there’s a sea change in loyal support in summer when season tickets go on sale.
Many people, myself included, bought them for the first season in the NL as a gesture of solidarity after relegation and then renewed them for this season buoyed by the arrival of the Ogdens.
Would the prospect of a third season of McNultyball deter perhaps a few of the previously diehard fans?
I did something this afternoon that I’ve never done before and went into the Dale Bar at halftime mainly to try and warmup. This was immediately the whistle went and I was staggered to find that the place was packed with people who had drifted in there whilst the match was in progress.

Anything that helps to reduce that ridiculously expensive utilities bill.
Great example as well.

Berger is a decent little footballer but the operative word is little.
What we need to really proper in this league is a warrior who can put himself about.
Oh for a Gary Jones, Marty Lund, Stephen Dawson midfielder!
That type of player probably doesn’t suit the BJ template though.

Or Aidan Barlow who, unless he’s injured and I’ve missed it, has disappeared recently.

It does you good sometimes to have a good, short, jolt of reality.
At least we know where we stand; it’s alright flogging the likes of ten man Tamworth, Fylde and Yeovil but to gain promotion you need to be at the level that Oldham were last night.
And don’t forget that Latics were dealt a lesson of their own by York a couple of weeks ago.

BJ talks about tension.
He was as hyper as anyone - what was all that running on the pitch to applaud the crowd before the game?
The previous posters have got it right.
Oldham did their homework and must have watched the Yeovil video time and again.
But Dale’s young loanees weren’t allowed to run riot again once the game had settled down.
Seasoned pros like Caprice saw to that.
Latics had a stranglehold on the game after that goal - where was the marking when the corner wasn't fully cleared by the way - and looked serious promotion contenders.
Which Dale certainly didn’t.

It’s the timing that I find strange. Why wait until the last day of the transfer window?
