Is there any benefit in panic buying in January ? We are effectively down. Nobody releases decent players in January and whoever they bring in will not keep us up.
Suggest we start planning for next seasons targets. |

I agree, he has chosen an easy option, where he can't lose or damage his CV, not that I believe his CV is outstanding. He has picked a team that is mid table, very unlikely to get relegated. With a good January transfer window to address some of their injuries they will be fine.
I am still not convinced about Potter or getting wrapped up in the Potter hype. His CV in England is average. Even at Brighton where he was highly praised, it was only a 31% win rate and he finished 15th / 16 th in his 1st 2 seasons.

Yep. I am in favour of ID cards.
I hear arguments that it would infringe on individual human rights and loss of liberty , but not sure how or why ?
I can see the benefits if they are linked to passport, DVLC, HMRC, Social benefits/fraud, immigration etc, but there will always be those that will operate outside the law, with or without a card. [Post edited 6 Jan 14:12]

The guy that posted it was Hugo Sheckter, who a former Saints Player Liaison officer !
The guy likes to Promote himself at every opportunity, at the same time embarrass his former pay masters.
This was an absolute disgrace, and agree, the club owe Armstrong an apology. Who in their right mind thought this was a good idea ? |

I agree with this, but his agent can probably smell a nice pay day on the horizon convincing him to go.
He definitely has a lot to learn, but last few games he looks as dis-interested as the rest of the team. |

Putting aside the potentially obvious exits (Ramsdale, Fernandez, KWP , A B-K and possibly Dibling), who do we keep for next season. I personally, think we need a complete re-build.
These are the only ones I would keep for a championship campaign (excluding obvious exits). The rest can leave and probably will :
Harwood-Bellis
Downes
Wood
Archer
Charles
Amo-Ameyaw
Armstrong (but would sell if we got promoted)

I am not sure he does care, otherwise he would not have got those 2 stupid sendings off and a ban extension for abuse to officials. Also, we have not heard a thing from Stephens following last sending off. I would have at least expected an apology for letting team and fans down. That probably tells us how much he cares (unless I missed a response from JS)
Yes they may give their all, but unfortunately, it is far from being good enough at this level.
I agree with comment on Sugawara. Error prone and can't defend. Get rid.
With regards Sulemana, for weeks I have been advocating give him a chance, and yet when he gets a chance, he does nothing. Again - get rid. [Post edited 5 Jan 12:23]

Totally agree. He needs time.
He has inherited a load of average players, and loanees that need to be shipped out. Juric has nothing to lose and can afford to upset some of the so called senior players who are not performing.
The team looks like they are knackered and so unfit. That can't be Jurics' fault ? Brentford are not the best team around, but they showed, unity, determination and ability to just keep going. They just carved us open so easily.
Would I want to go back to Russel Martin and 'Rusty ball' - no. All I ask is for the team to show a bit off effort, out the cray mistakes and show some pride. If they can't do that, just drop them and put some of the reserves out. |

Just seen MoTD. I also saw the games yesterday. On n reflection, the errors and lack of effort looked a lot worse on play back.
Based on recent displays, this team will struggle in the championship. Today though, had to be the worst I have ever seen, They just gave up.
We all acknowledge we are down, but they could at least show a bit of pride rather than sticking 2 fingers up to fans who give a lot to follow Saints. |
