Defeats mount once more as QPR limp to meek Boro loss – Report on 19:37 - Mar 12 with 2073 views | Paddyhoops | Great report as always . Bleak times again have fallen on us once again . You can feel the bleakness running through the threads. Spot on about Yang. He was poor again last night and we’re a better side with Smyth starting. Not something I would have said last season . Hero’s are the travelling fans as always. They should reimburse you for the journey. Didn’t deserve that last night.

I thought that I might be having a stroke until I realised there was some **** with a megaphone. As if the junior Hari Krishna troop wasn’t horrendous enough already. Up there with the worst performances of the season.

Defeats mount once more as QPR limp to meek Boro loss – Report on 21:36 - Mar 12 with 1654 views | Match82 | It's weird, for years I thought "it's so frustrating to lose the games we should win and win the ones we shouldn't". Turns out it's just as frustrating the other way around. As always, huge respect to those who trekked all the way up there to see that, you deserve better effort than we put in

I saw in the Boro programme last night that their st prices are already out for next season. No doubt we’ll have to wait until the 2nd week of May before we find out how much it’ll cost us to see more of the same next season.

Defeats mount once more as QPR limp to meek Boro loss – Report on 23:08 - Mar 12 with 1339 views | ManinBlack | The match reports should be top of the league compared to other clubs fan offerings. Shame the football team are light years from ever being top again. If you have no money you get other clubs cast offs and players with weak mentalities who are not winners. This has been a theme for the past 10 years since our last relegation. Decent strikers cost money and we can't afford them so unless we develop our own players we are stuck in this rut. The danger of remaining static is eventually other clubs spending more than us each season will keep us down around the relegation places. Eventually our luck will run out and we will drop by scraping the barrel with bargain basement signings. Our record against the top teams this season shows that teams who buy more expensive players beat us and will finish above us. FFP is now a factor in shaping the league table as the poorer clubs can't overspend on their incomes without punishment following. I accept other smaller clubs have bucked the trend but this is difficult for them to sustain. We have fallen short by comparison and nothing seems to change where we perform like a jekyll and hyde team every season. Standards do appear to be lacking... | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Yang really needs to stop trying to play out of and losing the ball in dangerous situations which could easily have cost us more goals. To give him some credit though I think he did set up the huge chance for Paal strangely missing from the extended lowlights, and the chance for Morgan wellied way over. He's useful when we do get forward.
Defeats mount once more as QPR limp to meek Boro loss – Report on 07:00 - Mar 13 with 879 views | mart_Goblin | Agree with pretty much every word Clive . The truth of the matter as you say, is that we are simply not very good , but I’m glad (or maybe not so glad )that that whiff of slightly phoning it in by a few wasn’t just in my head and others saw it too. There were 2 fouls committed in injury time , 1 by Jimmy , the other by Cook which were at best completely unnecessary when we needed the ball alive and in play , or at worst, 2 senior players with the hump asking to be put out of their misery by the refs whistle. The truth is probably neither but if it is neither then both incidents were so naive it’s beyond belief. This harks back to my comments after the WBA game , that this is also the most naive set of players I can remember. They continue to do everything opposition wants them to do week after week . And these 2 are not kids learning their trade . It summed up the whole game for me . For some years now we have been so fragile as your list of bad runs over the last 10 years shows . It might be the type of player we are having to go for but if Marti can’t stop that rot then sooner or later it will end in disaster . At the moment it appears he can’t either , just the same as his predecessors.
Defeats mount once more as QPR limp to meek Boro loss – Report on 07:19 - Mar 13 with 841 views | Wilkinswatercarrier | The performances have been poor for a while now, and yes, I include the Derby 4-0 win (the warning lights were flashing in that game). A lack of creativity, no strikers, players out of form, season ending injuries across the board. We are very good, however, at making Boro look like Barcelona. Not just once, but twice this season. Poor.
Defeats mount once more as QPR limp to meek Boro loss – Report on 09:30 - Mar 13 with 592 views | thehat | Thanks Clive - Great report especially for those of us who didn't get to see the game. Only nine points now of the bottom three and the team has got itself back into a pickle and losing mentality. In some ways the Chair injury might just help us. I love him to bits but always think he's a bit of a problem child in trying to fit him into the team and formation especially this season. I guess the next few games will tell us that.
Defeats mount once more as QPR limp to meek Boro loss – Report on 09:50 - Mar 13 with 514 views | gazza1 | 1 - Whilst our loan player lost the ball (tried hard to win it back), our hero Dunne was so far out of position he did not get anywhere near the winger. Dunne should hold his hands up - his error 100% 2 - Our non hero Paal, was watching his winger and therefore should not be put to blame for the 2nd. Go for the man with the ball and leave his winger he would have been at fault if the ball was played to the winger and hit the goal line.

1) I completely agree with your comment about Dunne apart from it being 100% his error. If Yang doesn't knock the ball yards away from himself he retains possession. I'm going 50-50 on this one. Cook's glare at both players told the complete story. 2) Paal was every bit as guilty as the three other players that the goalscorer strolled past. Not solely his fault, but he has 25% of the blame.

Sorry ManinBlack, but I disagree that it is simply about the 'haves' versus the 'have nots' That's too Rednapp-eque for me. It is much more about attitude and work rate. Any team can beat any team in this league. Classic example over the past few days; Portsmouth beat leaders, Leeds and a couple of days later lose at home to the bottom club, Plymouth, who couldn't win away for love nor money. We hammered Leeds at home last season, because we wanted it more. No for me, attitude and work rate are the great equalisers. As Clive said in his report, a modicum of more effort on Tuesday night would probably have yielded a different result. As I have said many times whether we are winning and when we are not; when we are bang at it, we are a match for any team, when we are not, we're not. [Post edited 13 Mar 10:24]

We definitely were though! If Varane isn't fit to play on Saturday, Edwards has to continue in that role.
