FA Trophy semi on 18:24 - Mar 12 with 1268 views | 442Dale | As they’re getting an allocation of 1400 tickets, would that mean we’re keeping some of the Willbutts available for home fans if required?

I suppose if they don’t need more then some could perhaps go on general sale providing that segregation is possible eg separate toilets and refreshments provision.

That's precisely how the Willbutts was designed

As things stand the three usual home stands are available and it's likely the club will want to see those pretty full before considering extending into a section of the Willbutts. Costs of extra stewarding might be a factor (ensuring segregation, etc.) I doubt all three home stands will reach capacity

It's a perfect game to persuade family and friends to attend. Perfect also to inundate every school in the Borough with free tickets, not just a few hundred free tickets but give away a couple of thousand for the Willbutts Lane stand and physically put up a poster advertising the game in the schools/ colleges. The club could ask for volunteers to meet at the club on the Monday before the game with their own vehicles and help with the distribution, split the schools into different areas..Spotland, Norden and Bamford. Littleborough, Wardle, Milnrow and Newhey etc. The importance of the FA Trophy can't be underplayed now, the win against Altrincham seems to have given the whole squad a major lift and the players will now be bursting a gut to claim the shirt for a possible Wembley appearance. It's created a lot of excitement around the club and also amongst the fans, i can't be the only one who has already booked a hotel for Wembley? Glass half full and all of that👍 It could also be pivotal in shifting a lot more season tickets in a few months time should we beat Spennymoor. [Post edited 13 Mar 7:32]

I understand your enthusiasm - but this is a shared revenue game and the away team will want to maximise their take. Giving away free tickets isn't going to happen unless we agree to donate a sum to the away club. There have been games this season that were free - best to target those that attended the games for free with this match via emails. The price has been slashed in half as it is.
