Nottingham Forest 3 v 1 Queens Park Rangers FA Premier League Monday, 5th April 2021 Kick-off 15:00 |
Geoff78 added 22:35 - Apr 5 Well that was inevitable after hopes were raised by the Coventry performance. Somehow Rs never got going. Although you could say the first half was fairly even, and we had two half decent chances (Austin and Johansen) in truth we kept giving the ball away, never got our passing going, and the wing backs, who have been so important going forward, got little change from a well-organised Forest defence and midfield. I don't know whether we were just bad, or if Forest had really worked on nullifying our game. There were elements of luck in their goals - there was a clear pull back on Barbet for the first (although he should have been stronger), and I suspect attempts to replicate the second and third goals would end up with the ball in the stands. But they looked a well-drilled team who were either stronger or quicker in the challenges and often both. Hughton is a decent manager who hasn't had a lot of luck. Think they might be worth an early bet for play-offs at least next season. And then again what do I know. PS whoever puts together the voting options above forgot, arguably our MotM, Albert! enfieldargh added 22:53 - Apr 5 Royboy48 added 13:14 - Apr 6 Obvious after 15 mins our plan would not work, couldn't break their midfield wall; Forest midfield totally in control Should have had Dykes at half time as target man and mix it up with some long balls Took Warbs over an hour to change anything; he must take some responsibility for this defeat. Am I the only one who thinks we look better when Albert is on the pitch
