Not sure whether I'm disappointed that we were outplayed or pleased we managed to escape with a point. Although Boro had all the pressure, especially in the second half, I think you can argue that our defence did pretty well in circumstances where we just couldn't get the ball forward. From the Upper Loft it's hard to see the detail of the action as we were under the cosh but I thought we just about coped with plenty of corners, blocks and maybe luck. For much of the time we were reduced to hopeful lumping it forward where Dykes could do little.

Field worked tirelessly to try and stem the midfield tide, but the substitutions didn't help us. I didn't see much from Hendrick to know whether he's a good acquisition and Stef was below par before being subbed - apparently unwell. When Gray came on we had no chance to compete in midfield. A brave substitution and arguably the wrong one, but if he'd snatched a goal...?? I'd have preferred to see Luke come on to add energy to midfield.

Although Boro were clearly the better team, it did seem every loose ball ended up near a Boro player and too many contacts resulted in free kicks for Boro. Marshall probably our best player which says it all.

Ellerslie Road row all agreed we were lucky and that Boro were the best team ( team being the operative word) we had seen this season.

Lucky to get something out of that. We could not get the ball off them at times and liked giving it back to them. Their press suffocated us resulting in us going long and when your striker can't hold the ball up, it started again and again.

We were much the better team at their place and won, they were much better at ours, but could only draw...
