Midfield King Tutte returns to Spotland
Midfield King Tutte returns to Spotland

Dale have re-signed former loanee Andrew Tutte on a free transfer, taking him away from the clutches of a move to Scunthorpe.

All the talk had been that Tutte would be joining former Bury manager Alan Knill at Scunthorpe having turned down a permanent move to former loan club Yeovil Town. Indeed, Knill had bigged up the transfer in the press earlier in the week.

However, rather surprising news came through on Friday morning stating that Tutte would be returning to Rochdale - the club that he played a handful of games for on loan during the 2010-11 season. In doing so, he has signed a two year contract with the club.

This will be the second time that he has worked with Dale boss Steve Eyre having come under his tutelage at Manchester City.

Early last season I wrote across this group that this lad is pure class...first touch and vision just needs more experience and he got some of that last year with us and Yeovil. But and I'm not knocking I doubt he'd have come if KH was still here (just my opinion)
