Early rumours of Ross Stewart failing the medical were always going to be dubious as I’m sure Saints medical team would have thoroughly researched his fitness etc before sanctioning his move. Just to keep things in perspective it has been revealed that Cedric is on £100k a week at Arsenal and doesn’t command a place in the starting line-up! This is the difficulty when trying to recruit players, Saints just have never had that sort of money, hence the attempt to build with young talented players. The media always wants something controversial to grab readers’ attention, we’re all familiar with the expression “Never let the facts get in the way of a good storyâ€. We have an honest club to support unlike the dubious benefactors of many clubs around us, let’s celebrate that and not panic if things don’t go our way within the first few games. Remember the club has had a radical overhaul since last season, something we’ve all been clamouring for. |
