I remember in one of his first games running back towards our goal and get got pushed off the ball so easily. Suddenly now he seems to win all of his physical battles. Reads it well and when out of position covers the ground so well. Always seems to win the tackle especially the ones where he is stretching. Slowly his distribution is improving. I get the feeling that Marti is the right manager for him as he will make him even better. Also love the relationship he has with his team mates and the fans. Really seems to get the club |

Saito weak? Really? I have thought throughout he is a tough so and so. Gets back and puts pressure on the opposing team and often wins the ball back. When he has the ball he is a bugger to get off it even when defenders all over him |

I wouldn't change it. A 30 minute cameo is totally different to starting. Chair always needs time to get fit and sharp. Saito offers so much tracking back. Don't think Chair could handle that volume of work. Slowly build up his fitness. He's had two big injuries this season. Keep brining him on and when the time is right either start him or an opportunity will present itself. Despite Smyths impact recently, I think he would maybe make way. Him coming off then bench with his pace against a tiring defence would be good. Also at some point Dembele to come back too. Soon we will have some nice options. I like Morgan in the advanced role too. Whilst the team are improving, players can't just come back in because of who they are or what they have done. Need to earn it and why risk pushing Chair too soon if our form and players form is improving |

Morgan just getting better. Quite like him playing a bit more advanced. Maybe not as a 10 but being allowed to get about the pitch. His energy helps with our press when we do it and he doesn't mind getting stuck in. He has a footballing brain too. |

I personally never said they were. Still holding judgement on Madsen. Think he will play better in a team full of confidence and playing well. The only player I wouldn't have near the first team at the moment is Ashby. I know he has been playing out of position but just really unsure about him. |

What I liked about that js that we are starting to play a bit of football now. Long way to go but some nice bits of play. Also like that at time we bullied them Varane immense again. I remember in one of his first games he got brushed off the ball. Don't think that will happen again. So strong. Covers well and distribution slowly improving. Plenty still to work on |

Yep no doubting he made a difference. Sometimes just needs to go for it. Tough as well and fights for everything. Just knock it passed and run. If he loses it at least the defender is 10 yards furthur back and he can close them down. Towards the end when Smyth came off would have liked Alfie to go out why and have Frey bully Dickie for a few minutes |

I'm really struggling with Ashby. At the moment I really don't want him near the team. I know he is a young player playing out of position but at times he doesn't look like a footballer. Always seems to make the wrong choice. Does the opposite to the thing he should. So many times cuts in and passes it in field and into danger. So many times he came running out if defence to close someone down and left the runner to go in behind. |

I just wish he would trust his pace more. Tries to almost dribble passed the defender when sometimes today he could have knocked it passed the last man and ran. He seems unsure and allows the defending team to catch up |

He has had a good game today. He will also have blips but great potential there. Never sure what his best position is. What I like though, he has good football intelligence, we played some nice stuff off him with his link up play. He is also confident and aggressive. Aggressive in his closing down but also his movement. Make the defenders think and occupies them which creates space for others |

Saito has to stay in. Got a football brain and works hard in defence and attack. Smyth comes out of the team for me. Yes he has great pace and works hard tracking back but fed up with the final ball always being naff and falling over looking for free kicks when in promising positions |
| Forum Reply | Morrison, anyone notice? at 18:14 7 Dec 2024
I think at the back it is more helpful to have that right and left balance if you are a team trying to play out from the back. Being able to take the ball on the turn and quickly progress the ball in the direction the play dictates. If perhaps you have switched it quickly from one side to the other it helps to have a player who can recieved on their left and keeping going to the outside, rather than come back into play where there might be conjestion. Morrison is quite good on the ball so not naturally being left footed hasn't been too much of an issue. In some cases a team may know a player pretty much uses their weak foot just to stand on and might close down in such away that they have to use it and therefore cause issues. Like you said though there are some exceptional players who have been ridiculously one footed but couldn't be stopped. In some cases, taking them out wouldn't stop them 😂 |

I believe he meant after Burnley when he retired. He said he felt fit but just didn't think he could be the player he wanted to be and I think didn't want to come to us and tarnish things with maybe it not going well |

Oh ok. So you haven't had people say to you that they don't appreciate the way you have spoken to them?? When you have said this is a place to air opinion but then you get colorfully offensive with a wonderful vocabulary, when they approach a subject from a different view point to your own. I must have not read those threads then. Or when everyone else can see that a reply to a comment of yours is tongue in cheek and just a bit of a wind up but you go on 10 paragraph offensive. Ok, my mistake Take care Sausage |

Oh no. You dared to disagree. A plethora of paragraphs incoming about how you are wrong and although discussing things is good, your opinion only matters if it is on sync |

So a question came in to his podcast asking is there a team he wanted to play for that be never did. He said there wasn't but would have been with us for longer or come back to us later in his career. He said he loved it with us, loved the people and was liked by the fans and has a lot of affection for us. Was saying he would have maybe liked to have finished his career with us and maybe could have come to us after Burnley but felt he couldn't be the player he wanted to be and wouldn't do that to us. He would have only come to us if he thought he could have been worth it |

I use an amazon firestick for all my streaming and iptv. I use an adaptor and run it straight into the router. Always best to hardwire even if Internet is quick and WiFi signal strength can drop |
