I am not a pessimist but the only game where I can see us getting any points at all is the Bournemouth home game. I now believe we are going down, but it might be a good move for the club.
It’s time to get rid of those players who aren’t pulling their weight, and bring through some of the youngsters who want to play for the club.
Hopefully we can build a team in the Championship that can bounce back and another rebuild can begin.
We just need to find a decent manager, and another Rickie Lambert, well to start with. |

My old car for sale. Bought 12 years ago, used to go well but obviously a bit slower now,running costs have also tripled. Should be good for a couple more years. Originally bought for £30,000, now a bargain at £60,000.
I really, really really hope that Saints do not squander the VVD cash on Walcott, he is well over his prime.
Let’s find a big CF that can hold the ball while the attack builds, sort of Pellé ish.

I would like to see the lad on loan at Yeovil back and given a few games, he certainly cannot be worse than what’s on the pitch now. |

Glad to se him go. He isn’t worth £75M, and maybe the team will settle down now after the disruption he created in the summer.

If Saints are going to “park the bus†Iwould have swapped Austin for Long. Austin drops back too far and we get stuck in our own half, and should we try to counter attack Austin is too slow. Long might not score but at least he will keep 2 or 3 opposition defenders from attacking and keeping us pinned in our own half. |

FFS Nick, when are you going to get off Yoshida’s back. For the past year he has been the most consistent player, and has been grossly under paid until recently. We would be so much worse off without him.
Let’s look elsewhere for the rot in the team. Flapper Forster looks like he is having a fit when the ball goes near his goal. Time to change keepers.
Tadić is just a waste of space, change him. Redmond has the potential but cannot perform. Boufal has started falling over again, no doubt he has had a refresher course from Tadic.
Time to spend some money in January. Maybe Pelle has a twin we could buy, as, excluding the cup final I haven’t seen a really good game in years! |

Let’s face it, CP’s future was based on a referee’s error. If MG’s goal was not disallowed in error we could have well won the League Cup. A trophy plus 8th would have been a really successful season, and CP would still be Manager. Opinion would be far better regardless of some of the performances at the end of last season. |

I can understand that quite a few comments have been deleted, let's face it this performance was shockingly inadequate, which would produce equally bad comments.
Not one of Saints players deserved to be paid this week!
I cannot see either Hart or Forster playing for England again, so a new keeper has got to be on the shopping list. Let's bring the lad back from Yeovil and give him a chance, he just cannot be worse than what we are watching. Tadic needs to move on while he is worth selling.
There really needs to be a major shake up, not enough effort for the wages! |

When the stadium was built it was supposed to be able to be extended due to it's design.
Southampton must think about this very soon surely.
I used to have a season ticket but simply cannot afford it now, so then I was buying tickets for individual matches, however now there are too many conditions to be able to do that now.
If the stadium was extended it should be easier just to buy a ticket when you want to go, and I am sure they would increase the attendance further.
Shame the days of turning up at the Dell and paying on the turnstiles have gone. |
