That's quite a shock. I'm sure Chris was posting to his FB page only yesterday. Very sad news indeed. |

Ok. Colour is spot on but not crazy about the nearly-but-not-quite BST logo, if I'm to be totally honest. Good effort to those who've produced it, though. Should sell well. |

As I've said before, a ban from all football activities would someone's agenda rather well. |

Popped over, read Bollie's theory, didn't understand a word of it, popped back. *orders 'Mergers & Aquisitions for Idiots'* |

Nice to see you here BFC x3. You should pay us a visit more often. Your points 1 & 2 mirror precisely my initial reaction. The nature and tone of the statement does seem bizarre, even by the Oyston's current off the wall standards. Very odd. It doesn't necessarily mean, however, that the O's want or are willing to sell as suggested further up the thread. Any offer received by the Chairman would have to be put to the Board as a matter of course. |

On the first point, the bid is due to go in by late June apparently and on the second, not sure that's something we need to worry about really as KO will never agree to it. [Post edited 26 May 2015 19:08]

I meant that the picture was taken as a joke. |

Something like that although, as an alternative qualifier, I'd also throw in membership of a recognised supporters group for a minimum period, say 12 months. [Post edited 25 May 2015 22:56]

Not a cat in hell's chance of being adopted but other than point 3 (which would raise major governance difficulties as it reads), I'm pretty much with you. |

I'd guess that was taken at Burnley's Player Of the Year bash which is being held tonight. Just a joke. |

I'm sure I've seen something from TK saying they will not and do not support any disruption of the concert. Quite right too, that would be an own goal of KO proportions. |

It often astonishes me how the Church continues to get away with blatantly discriminatory practices. How and why should a CoE school (for example) be legally allowed to refuse entry to a 4 year old on the grounds their parents are not practising Christians? Outrageous. The 10% thing has been around for years. Not sure why anyone would get in a lather about it now. |

What I find interesting about this debate is how eager some of the hardcore are to pass over the chance to tell KO face to face how shockingly poor he is at running the club and should sell up. I'd have thought they'd jump at the chance, but there you go. The new forum may well prove to be a sop to the fans but given it is highly unlikely the club will be able to pack the Parliament entirely with pro-Oyston members, it strikes me that this could be another means of applying pressure on the Oystons, assuming the right people get in the room. The suggestion that we obstinately deny ourselves the opportunity seems rather bizarre to me. It may well be that putting a well argued point across the table will not bring about the changes we all want, but then neither necessarily will standing outside the ground singing 'Oyston Out' or boycotting matches. What is there to lose? [Post edited 23 May 2015 21:18]

Yes, he is a bit of both - Nobheads, I think they're called. |

For this to have an credence whatsoever there has to be absolute transparency from the club on how this is going to work and that starts with naming the selection panel, revealing the terms of reference the panel will be working to and the selection methodology/criteria. As Beds has said, fans need assurance that the panel is truly independent. And as the panel members (and the Chair) will be presumably appointed by the club, I'm struggling somewhat to see how that might be achieved satisfactorily. [Post edited 22 May 2015 19:17]

Fair points TAM, but it could also be argued that even if BST (or any other supporters group) was having dialogue with the club, it's representatives would only be carrying a mandate from its members, not the majority of fans who, for whatever reason, choose to to remain outside the organisation. So could that mandate be considered as truly valid or representative of the fan base as a whole? The initiative from the club is far from ideal but as TT has said it has to be worth exploring. If it's a sham then it will be exposed as such very quickly but there's only one way to find out. [Post edited 21 May 2015 23:26]
