Re, the pitch SG was asked specifically about the state of the pitch and the cost of rectifying the problems, at a recent Fans Forum. He was asked whether we had any redress with the company who had undertaken the work. His reply was somewhat non-comital, saying something like the board would have to look in to it. I would like to know what kind of warranty/guarantee covered the work on the pitch. Patently obvious the work was not fit for purpose. Unless, of course, the wrong type of sand has been used again, |

As far as I could gather their player kicked out at ours and he then went and pushed their player over. Ref spoke to his assistant for a while so, were it a mistake, there are two to blame. I thought our player should have had a yellow though. |

That's it. All the other 91 play in non-Tory constituencies Quite astounding is that. [Post edited 8 Dec 15:55]

I like this one: What distinction do Bromley FC hold out of the entire 92 league clubs? Answer tonight if no one gets it. |

I loved when, for the game before Christmas, our players ran to each side of the pitch and gave a gift to a random kid they chose. It was the Dale Santa hats but could be anything we have too much stock of) Only happened twice I think but a lovely gesture). Not moneymaking exactly but a great way to bond with the younger element. I remember when we played Manure in a pre-season match a while ago. They had promoting-themselves bang-on: with people on each corner of our ground handing out freebies (posters and pictures etc) to all and sundry. I bet they made more converts that day than we did. Simple, inexpensive stuff like that needs implementing. |

Shouldn't we be using these games, not just to give the stiffs some game time, but to try different tactics as well? |

Well Manure PL2 hit the post and missed four other gifted chances. We had one chance and that was rolled into the keeper's hands. Not brill really Anyone catch the official attendance? |

I would like to contact Murray but using the address from the Trust's web site keeps rejecting my message. Anyone know what I am doing wrong? Thanks |

Enjoyable game. Always great to see us win, Got to see some players I hadn't seen before. Barlow and Okeke stood out for me tonight. Hendo got a full 90 mins. For a couple of quid come and support your team. It doesn't look like these games are going to be too frenetic so I wouldn't be overly concerned about injuries or burnout. Particularly as hardly any first teamers will be playing the full match. Just a bit of a work out and a chance to blood the fringe players and try a few new tactics in a semi-competitive situation. Nowt wrong with that in my view. |

Well, I still feel a bit sick after that result. On a par with that Walsall game where we hauled ourselves back from two goals down to take the lead in the last minute only for them to launch a speculative ball into our box from kick-off, from which they scored. That was the end of any hope of avoiding relegation. Yep. Very, very disappointing. |

Movement off the ball is required imo. We play statues - foot on the ball looking for a player to pass to, who are all stationary with an opponent standing close by waiting to pounce on whomsoever the ball is passed to. Recipe for disaster. What happened to football being a simple game? Halifax played the way I remember we played like. When I played we had a few basic principals drummed into us: When defending have your back to your goal When attacking try to receive the ball facing the opponent's goal. If not turn and shoot. NEVER pass the ball across your own penalty area. Cover each post at corners. Simples. |

I do agree to a large extent Delboy but where is the cutoff between bumps in the road and throwing points away from not learning from previous mistakes. That's the frustrating aspect . Good start to the campaign though as you say. |
