Not for much longer. Apparently it's being phased out after a recent EFL meeting according to today's paper.

Presumably so you have to subscribe to their streaming service rather than getting it as part of your Sky package

Thankfully he was only standing in for Mark Chapman who was in Augusta covering the golf.

Consultation Papers - Cost of Legal Action
at 00:15 23 Jul 2017

No problem. I only usually post if someone asks a question and I happen to know the answer. Having read the consultation pack it wasn't clear to me who pays if the Trust were to lose on there isn't enough in the pot to meets the legal costs.

If it has been made clear elsewhere then I haven't seen it. If is clear there is no chance of personal liability then that makes a decision easier.

It's not made clear in the consultation pack which is why I raised the question

There are no guarantees in any litigation. You may think you have a strong case but you can never 100% predict what decision a court will make. Therefore you have to have certainty as to who pays the costs if you lose.

Not necessarily as what happens to any monies obtained from the litigation would have to be determined by reference to the articles or constitution of the Trust. Presumably any monies gained would have to be applied for the purposes for which the trust was set up.

The question of who pays the legal costs if the Trust loses any litigation needs clarification before the vote. If the members are personally liable for the costs then that is a huge factor in the decision.

If I remember correctly there have been cases in the past where golf clubs have lost court cases and the members have been personally liable for the costs.

Whatever the Q.C has advised there are no guarantees in any litigation.

As for no win, no fee, good luck getting any Q.C.
worth their salt to agree to that.

If the Trust won (and there are no guarantees in any litigation ) the only thing the Court could order would be to force the new owners to buy all the Trust's shares at the same price they paid the old directors. There would be no possibility of over turning the sale or forcing Jenkins or anyone else out. The Trust would have no shares left, no seats on the Board and no influence on any decisions.

In addition, if the Trust lose the case they would have to pay their own legal costs plus the other parties' legal costs.

In thinking that we haven't scored a goal at the "home" end (south stand ) since the Man United game at the end of August?

Actually that's last season's interpretation. They have changed it and now they should flag as soon as the player makes a move towards the ball.

Taylor

I agree with Curt too. Taylor has been our most consistent player all season. Puts in a full shift in every game. Defended well and got forward as much as he can given the constant changes in formation and personnel in front of him. Maybe I'm old fashioned but a defender's most important role is to defend. Taylor can defend and on the, admittedly , little I've seen of Tabanou defending isn't his strong point.

Tabanou started off as a left sided midfielder and if people want him in the team I think it should be further forward and leave our best left back do the defending.

Montero started off the season like a world beater but recently after 2 runs he's been out of position , ambling back looking either disinterested or unfit or both. If Tabanou gets in the squad it should be instead of him if anyone.

Swansea City v Bournemouth - Official Match Thread
at 19:53 21 Nov 2015

Back home and just starting to thaw out but still not sure what to make of that "performance".

Players clearly lacking confidence and terrified of making a mistake. Bournemouth will be wondering how they didn't win that game. They were first to every ball from the first minute and looked stronger and faster than us. They knew their roles and looked more organised. I think the search for different ways of playing has left our players unsure of their roles and that just makes things worse when confidence is low.

The changes to the team made no positive difference. Perhaps that will explode the theory that this is our strongest ever squad.

They seemed to have more players in central midfield all the time and King caused havoc every time he ran at the defence. Ash looks completely out of sorts and almost tripped over his own feet a few times. He hasn't looked right since the Stoke game.

Fabianski isn't claiming crosses like he was and that is making the back four more anxious too.

Shelvey had all the movement of Jan Molby in his Swans days. Although it is heresy to suggest it Leon's days as a starting player are over. I know he hasn't played much but the game completely passed him by.

Ki looked half asleep and ball watching for most of the game and after all the travelling probably shouldn't have played.

Eder offered little, if we were still playing now he still wouldn't have won anything in the air. At least we know now why Gomis was continually picked despite being off form. I also have to question Monk's thinking on this one today. Given the circumstances if ever there was a game when Gomis was going to bust a gut then surely today was it.

Ayew was our one goal threat but the problem is that when he plays on one wing then he drifts in and we lack width and look unbalanced as a result.

The fight back suggests Monk hasn't lost the dressing room but I think he has lost the fans (or a growing number at least) as evidenced by the boos at 0-2 and at the end.

It was one of those days were all the deflections seemed to drop to one of their players and there was an element of that about their first goal ( despite Bartley's error). I suppose that is partly what happens when you're on a bad run but it was also that they were better organised and hungrier.

Overall like everyone else I miss the movement and tempo we used to have. I hope we can turn it around soon but at the moment I just hope there are 3 worse teams over the course of the season.

Sorry for the long post, I know it's not anything that probably hasn't already said numerous times over the last couple of months but just my take on today.

Swansea City v Deportivo La Coruna - The Official Match Thread
at 20:29 1 Aug 2015

I wondered if the slow tempo was deliberate given it's Chelsea away next week. Reminded me very much of Arsenal away last season.

Overall,

Shelvey was good first half.
Ki tidied up a lot of the loose play and got himself forward a few times.
Siggy looked lively.
Montero as usual looked a handful but the final ball was frustrating at times.
Gomis put himself about but Eder looked livelier when he came on.
Tabanou looked promising going forward but difficult to say defensively as they were content to sit behind the ball and look to hit us on the break.
Expected more from Ayew difficult to judge on such a lacklustre team lerformance.

After the Villareal game last year I was worried. This time not worried just a bit underwhelmed. Hopefully they repeat last year's opener and surprise us all

Looked like an ankle injury. Hope it's not aggravated the ankle injury he had in training a couple of weeks ago.

Even if they win Liverpool will still be a point behind us. I'd still prefer a draw though, so they both drop points.
