Growing up in NZ I was a bit young to remember him touring with the 71 Lions but plenty of old boys spoke very highly of him. It s highly unusual for them old kiwi rugby heads to chuck praise around at the best of times. And for them to praise a foreigner sez a lot about the man. RIP |

I think he explained himself well and took care to express that he isn’t in favour generally of not trying in a cup tie. However he was being realistic. The only thing laughable and sad is the state of our team |
