He's there to help Gerrard with this thing called a Mouse and help him pointy clicky it. Mousy! He will also help translate the scouse into a London accent that the other players may understand. Even though Beale has not worked in London for years and years. |

So apart from JCS the defence is back, which is needed for down the left. This means Field can partner Varane in the middle, and Saito can now play on the wing properly. So, our middle is back as well. Let's see what difference that makes against Stoke, which is a must-win game in my view. |

This was my thought as well. He could be a Robert Steiner type player. Steiner was never a big header of the ball, but his control, hold-up play, passing and flick throughs were great. The oppo could not contain him, they just had to hope the other QPR players were not up to it. Madsen could do this job, I am sure. Celar we know could not. But maybe Celar could be in the middle. I know crazy thoughts of a complete swap of positions. Meanwhile back on planet earth .... |

Has tried to get matches. Did the right thing and went on loan, was performing well before his injury so, really unlucky. Not sure his defending is that great, but his wingback play, passing, movement, energy are all good enough for the champ. Needed more games up there. Sad to see him out now. He would have been better than Santos, Ashby or Fox at LWB. Crackers that we lent him out. |
| Forum Reply | Mark Warburton interview at 21:34 13 Nov 2024
He was correct about the Brizzle game. We lost 1-2 there and we were all over them. Then they come to ours, and it's like a mirror of that game. They are all over us, but we win 2-1. It was a complete mirror game. Crackers is the champ. But I remember him getting Moses, Barbet and Wallace in for free. They came because of him. Decent players for us, especially Barbet. He knew these players could play as they had done it before for him. But I doubt he knows such players now, I would be surprised he has the same level of contacts or knowledge on actual players and also the relationships to hypnotise them to come. The game has moved on, and we can see that as he admits staying at West Ham was a mistake. We don't need a new manager. We need our injured players back, one striker (we are down one from last season), and one playmaker. And that's it. So, overall, we need one extra player. They need to be good, so we need prem loans to mitigate the risk. But we have to be careful we don't end up with Hendricks-type players. |

For 18 like Morgan hes good. But he's not 1st team and should not be near it. On loan at most. I have not seen anything that makes me think he's gonna make it, but he's young so, things can change. It took Chair ages to get going and then as we know he's Champ class. EDB should be playing ahead of him. Why do I feel EDB has upset someone somehow? Morgan looks decent enough to be a 1st team sub, and he looks like he could make it. I hope so, as I like his style of play. Needs to tackle a bit more and play more through balls. But that will I hope come with time. The fact that Bennie plays and Lloyd shows how badly the squad is short with this injury run and lack of forward cover. Freezing Kohli and EDB out was stupid. Play everyone until Jan, and then if they are not interested, replace in Jan with Loans from the Prem and get rid of them as the offset. But to not play players who we pay for and actually want to play (as they want to show off and move elsewhere) is stupid. We know Noury is at fault for that as Marti has told us so. |

Robins will wait for the Burnley job, if they drop out of 6th then the manager will be sacked and he can go straight in there. Cov to Luton is a sideways step. Burnley is the one he's after! |

Never joined it. I know someone who had 30k followers and they are nice person so, not trolling. One day they realised that it ate up all their time and gave zero benefit to them. They got nothing out of it. So, they deleted the account and the negative impact on their life? ... nothing! It was a positive; they got their time. Another person I know spent 11 hours a week on creating new Youtube content, creating it just for 1 hour actual play time. Did that for many, many weeks and got only a few subscribers. The content was good and relevant, but he looked like a normal person, not an influencer. He gave it up. From what I can see social media success is pot luck and that luck goes as fast it arrives. And therefore the next load of tosh is fast pinging its way to you before you have deleted the last. |
| Forum Reply | What we need is better players at 15:04 10 Nov 2024
We let Dykes and Armstrong go for good reasons. Dykes is 29 and was getting worse, we got money for him. He cannot get in Brum team at all as real forwards are ahead of him. Armstrong was out of contract; we got money for him. Also, noticeable that Brizzle have dropped him to the bench and are playing Wells and now rising up the table. Sometimes its not always bring in new players are new players like Brum did last season and sank hard. However we brought in Celar who has not delivered ... and that's it. We replaced 2 with 1. So, we are 1 forward down. And its noticeable. I suppose the idea was that LLoyd or Kohlli would come good. Well, we have seen they are not ready for various reasons. You can see the thinking as worked a little last season with Armstrong. But it was a mistake. Now we need to get in forward so we are back to having at least 3 known forwards. Then we have Willock replacement in Demblele. Doing no worse than Willock, but now injured (just like Willock then). But worse Andersen legs are slower (not totally gone but he's slower) so, the game passes him by a lot. So, we are now still short of a Willock type player to hold it up and get it up the field and create something. Saito was supposed to be the backup to them. however he's had to play in many positions as Chair was out and also the left side has been totally crocked. Madsen was supposed to be the creative player here, as we can see the game passes him by totally. So, we need another creative player. I suspect we shall get two loans in for Jan, one forward and another creative player (someone who players wing and also amc). Until then, its battern down the hatches, try and get what we can from what we can and suffer Ainsworth type park the bus football until players come back from injury. Chair wont be back until December so, Jan then. This means actually its all on Saito and Andersen and Smyth attacking wise. Hopefully Frey comes back battling Luton style and then we might actually have a chance! |
| Forum Reply | Mark Robins sacked at 14:54 10 Nov 2024
Ellis Simms is what did it for him. They sold Viktor Gyökeres for big monies and a sell on. Had to be done. But when you spend £8m on Simms who is nowhere near that and never will be, then that is a lot of the Gyökeres money was wasted. Which it was. Then Robins had to stop playing him, as he's crap and then people have to start asking why did you spend all that money on him and not play him? Is it because he's crap and you have wasted £8m? Answer is yes! So, now you have lost the Gyökeres money and have no replacement for Gyökeres. This means your getting closer to QPR rather than Burnley. Going backwards. Simms has 2 goals and 1 assist in 12 games. Frey with rubbish QPR has 3 goals and 1 assist in 10 games. So, what's the difference? £8m that's the difference. Simms is there Celar, but cost way way more. Sure he has two goals, but he's still not worth £8m. Thats why they sacked him. I think its a mistake as bad buys happen, but you have to ask will this manager likely turn it around. With Robins the answer is yes. Can we get crap Coventry to get a manager in who is better? The answer is probably no. So, why risk it? Now, if you tell me Fat Frank is on the way, well, you are now asking for it Brum style. I notice Eustace has Blackburn up to 9th now and 2 pts off 6th. Some clubs don't learn. Sometimes, the manager is great, but they can only work with the tools available. True, they make mistakes—playing Andersen and Madsen at the same time is a mistake. But the ones who learn from their mistakes are the ones you should not sack, as the ones who replace them could be Paul Hart or worse. If I was Robins I would wait a while until one of the bigger champ clubs with money sacks their manager and then he can go there and get an upgrade on Cov. Norwich perhaps or even Burnley if they start slipping? |

The reason they do these short kicks is that the rule was changed so you could be inside the box on a goal kick (stupid change) and the idea is that you use your extra man at the back (the keeper) to pass it around so, you get the ball up the pitch in the oppo's half and retain possession. This worked for a while until teams worked it out and started to press. And then they got better at the press and then teams not as good at playing out, could not get it out of their last third and ended up gifting the oppo an attack in their own half. A few years pass by and now even the good teams struggle to get it out and now managers employ all sorts of formations to weasle it out from the back. 5 at the back, no 3, no 5 but with 4 mids, no 3 mid and 3 at the back with inverted fullbacks and so on. Even if they do, it becomes a tiresome game of keeping the ball from side to side for fear of losing it while the oppo parks the bus as Boro did despite being 2-0 up and us being utter tosh. A keeper should be able to kick the ball past the halfway line. Even Sunday keepers can do this. Then your centre forward is supposed to win the ball, and even better hold the ball, even if he does not, the midfield reducers (Field) are supposed snaffle up any knock backs and then you gain position well away from your goal. Even better if they can flick it on to the forwards or wingers and have an immediate route one attack. A team does not have to do this all the time, just now and again. Our great 90s team used Sir Les to do just that, and we had many other players. Before Les, there was Falco and bang average players like Colin Clarke, Dichio, Blackstock, Dowie, Hulse, and Hugill. Better players were Furlong, Helguson, Austin, Smith, Zamora, and dross, like Nygaard, Czerkas, Bonne, and the worst Hateley. Even when we had Bannister and Byrne up front, who were not the biggest, we still went long as you could always get the knockback. Without Frey, we are short on long-ball-winning forwards, but this is not an excuse to never hit it long. Get the ball in their half, especially if we have been under the cosh for a while and cannot break their press at all. Fool em, make em think we are gonna play it out, and then quickly rush out and boot it up. It will make them think twice about upping the press when we do want to play it out again and help us as it stretches their midfield. Especially is Celar is playing, he does not move and sometimes actually wins a flick on. He might as well use his tree-like positioning to actually make something happen. Kohli can win headers too. But for sure, as Gallen said on the podcast, we cannot play it out all the time; we just don't have the midfielders for it, even though Varane is getting better at this. |

Careful against sacking Marti when so many are injured. Hudders did this to Moore, and they went down. If they had stuck with Moore when the injured players returned, they would have been alright as he was getting some draws (similar to Marti) while they had half the squad out (like we do now). Yes mistakes have been made, but Marti usually learns from them. I doubt Santos will be used in any fullback position anymore. I expect to see Saito at LWB now. Playing Andersen and Madsen at the same time he has tried to avoid and when he did it against Boro as Chair was injured, it failed again. He will try and avoid that. I suspect Llyod could start as he may want to try hold out against Leeds and do breakaways as what else can you do with that squad right now? We shall play like PNE and try and grind out results Ainsworth style as that's all we can do until the injured players return or Jan appears oin the horizon. Its batten down the hatches and watch desperately dull football. |

Varane as I said earlier was getting better each game, a few more games like that and he's established. Morgan still needs to improve his tackling, but the rest is there. He plays a little like Wilkins. Field is still ahead of him when everyone is back, in my view. You need dogged players in the middle for the champ, as it's brutal. Varane was a class above, so he won the midfield battles for us on his own. They also played it down our left a lot, and apart from one time, Field was rock solid. Colback and Fox won't be here next season. They get injured too often. Varane has now shown he can replace Colback. We just need a replacement for Fox, or Field may end up there permanently. Ashby did better; remember he's playing out of position. Saito needs to start ahead of Madsen so Chair can roam free. Madsen was better, but he was still behind the play too often. He's got the skills, just not the engine. You saw what engines were needed with Varane charging forward and tracking back all the time. |

Morgan plays a little like Wilkins. But he does not put his foot in enough like Varane so, either he brings that to his game (still has lots of time) or we need Field. Varane as I said earlier was getting better each game, a few more games like that and he's established. |

Celar has a show reel like this. Obviously both of these players don't have one for in a QPR shirt. I wonder how far off Celar is for Washouts record? |

There is simple answer to all this ... Charity Park Rangers Will lose to gash teams like Pompy but also get draws away to Burnley. Really any top table team should phear us as Charity Park Rangers can snag some sort of lamo result against any of them, but completely implode against loser teams. Think the only game Pompy have won this season is against QPR and then Fox had to hand it to them on a plate. This is a team that contracted Dozzel after everyone knows he's useless. |
