On the surface of it that is a cracking statement

I’m paraphrasing and I honestly cba going back and finding it but someone posted (after the forum) that after tonight, I have no doubt in my mind that Jim McNulty is the right man to lead this club forward.

And these are the dangerous semantics which threaten to undermine and ruin all of the negotiations and progress off the field.

For the sake of this club, Jim cannot be the manager next season

Results aside, it’s just fcuking boring and painful.

I would genuinely struggle to watch us at the moment no matter what our league position is

The wind and rain is absolutely horrendous here at the moment.

I’d think there’s a chance of the game being in doubt?

Be bloody typical if it’s called off when the exiles are in town.

I’m not saying I don’t respect your opinion but your posts are definitely indicative of someone who doesn’t attend games. And that isn’t a dig btw.

I’m sure that things look very differently from afar and in isolation.

In reality, Tuesday aside (where we were extremely lucky to get anything), it’s 1 win in 10. That’s relegation form. Even more worrying, without Cian Hayes carrying the team, it would likely be much worse.

And there is no sign of Jim turning it around.

We have conceded numerous goals from fcuking around at the back (Tuesday being the latest debacle) with absolutely no lessons learned whatsoever.

There’s no game plan, no tactics and no real sign that things are going to improve whatsoever.

The apathy, lethargy and boredom is palpable around the stadium. I don’t think we as fans would be so bothered with our on the field plight and league position if we were being entertained.

But we’re not. It’s absolutely gash. And we are playing at the lowest level in the clubs history

Do you go to games?

I am genuinely unaware of anyone else who attends that thinks like this.

We are incredibly lucky that we scabbed a few points before Christmas, otherwise we would be in a real relegation dogfight.

The current form is woeful, the current football is abysmal, the tactics are non existent and Jim is showing absolutely no sign of learning from his mistakes. There’s no indication of any sort of progression in his coaching mentality or management and he doesn’t have enough stock (like a Keith Hill) for us to be able to put up with this stubbornness/arrogance.

OK, things have been tough off the field but that only partially excuses some of it.

If we do have a club to support, he cannot be the manager at the beginning of next season

That was shit. But a wins a win.

Rodney and the players went celebrating with BJ after his goal suggesting the players are still with him.

If that’s the case then they need to do much more than they presently are doing otherwise their mate will be out of a job very soon.

Woking were on good form and look a decent side so on paper, it was a credible win. But we were gash and Hayes’ impetus is once again papering over the cracks

Sleepwalking to relegation.

I know the club has bigger fish to fry at the moment but we can’t forget about the mess on the pitch.

If we have a club to support at the end of the season, serious changes need to be made over the Summer, it’s that simple. This squad is more than good enough to be challenging at the right end of the table

It’s okay, Jim’s a nice guy who has the club at heart so he can be forgiven for all of his footballing misgivings and shortcomings

If nothing else, in comparative terms, it does show that we are in a decent position for credible (and I stress that) investors to take a punt on us. Hope they can somehow get out of this mess, I’ve always had a soft spot them

You’d have to prove you can manage the repayments without relying on the injection itself.

We would probably also need a business plan of some description (that’s not written on the back of a fag packet)

We could do worse than trying Rhys in midfield to add a bit of defensive steel as he’s done well for us there in the past

Lineker has been an odious turd for a long time.

Nobody gives a fvck what you think about the wider world mate, just do your job (albeit mediocrely) and present the bloody programme

I think I must have been watching a different player.

Slow and cumbersome with the touch of a donkey was always my assessment. Probably a good finisher but we didn’t really see enough of that.

Charman looked a far better player than him (if rumours are lead to be believed, he left the club for non footballing reasons)

Sorry let me clarify, I meant promote from within until the end of the season.

To do so long term would be suicidal.

We will certainly be seen as a football league yardstick if nothing else and teams will feel encouraged that they could cut it competitively in the football league if they beat us (albeit the team will be much gasher than anything we’ve had in the last 20 years or so)

After having a shite nights sleep and reflecting on things, I am of the opinion he absolutely needs to go before our next game.

You can only put up with the mitigation of the “this isn’t my team bollocks” if you’ve seen any signs of improvement or future prospect.

This, coupled with his absolutely abysmal statistical record makes his position untenable IMO.

What has he shown that makes anyone confident that he is the right man to lead us in the conference next year?

Nothing.

He doesn’t even have significant experience at the level and actually ballsed up at Fylde last time he was down there (with a fairly tidy budget from what you can gather).

If we were to get rid, I have a feeling that the club would promote from within to save a wage. As uninspiring as McNulty’s brief tenure was, at least he appears to command the respect of the players and knows what it’s like to put everything on the line for the shirt.
