I agree with some of the things you say. It’s a generational thing. I’d put you in your mid 40s and some of the things you say make me cringe. I’m in my early 50s and did all the cliche stuff on the Milton in the late 70s and throughout the 80s as I grew up.
Your not going to get a load of 20 year olds singing meaningful football songs based around a Bob Dylan song, life moves on. Fair play to you for trying though. Good luck, as your swimming against the tide on that one. Up the Saints. |

Packed it in 5 years ago as did a lot of the group I used to go with from the early 80s. The PL is a waste of time and money. The club has become a vehicle for making money from nippers. A couple of relegations and some may return. But the Premier League is a waste of time… |

Some good points made on this thread. Ask yourself this. If you were worth 500 million would you invest the major part on a load of half arsed footballers?…Probably not is the answer. Unless your pumping out a million barrels of oil every minute.

I remember the Silver Jubilee. We didn’t have a street party as such. Just cooking sausages an open fire. Upmost respect for the Queen. She didn’t ask take on the role. The rest of them I’ve got no time for apart from Anne who does a lot for good causes without making a drama out of it. |

The whole Liverpool thing is over the top. Their fans and the reaction to them losing. I’m as pleased as any non-Liverpool fan that they lost.
Reading MSM, I find it incredible they report that their fans seem to be completely blameless. Take some of the blame for once. A minority of your fans caused the problem with their idiot behaviour. |
