As far as the foul, if in an isolated, neutral context, yes, probably a foul.
But I also think at least two factors were in play. First is it seems to be Stoke's plan to feel contact and drop to the ground and get a free kick to organize a play. Check out their Hull highlights. You saw it all match at LR and they dodged a yellow for a flop in the box. The fall looked too feigned and ref wasn't going to reward it.
Second is the time of the game and location. It isn't supposed to matter but it does and happens frequently. A penalty in the 60th minute isn't called in the first or last minutes, not too mention on a home side in a loud stadium. Maybe a little bit of Beale's fortress showing. |

Nailed on ( as usual). I had to grit my teeth and hold back while seeing the experts malign Warburton during the first half. Sometimes there is something to be said for a little trust. Was thinking Wallace for MOTM as well but glad to see Dykes get his due. |
