Good news. How time flies, I remember watching him when he was a young player at Enfield. Although he wasn't able to sustain a long playing career he has certainly come back into the game with a bang in recent years. Hopefully with his work ethic and studious approach we will be able to enjoy some success and build something that is sustainable. |

lol, you'd want to check your receipts carefully. Having him on the till could be a good way of forcing people to take the self-scan checkouts. |

It's an amusing headline for those of us who distrust HR although of course the problems were there before he was offered a directorship. I have to wonder at his appointment. I get the impression he is going to be a low key director, a consultant of sorts and it probably won't involve much commitment at all from him. I can't help but think it smacks of more of PR (for both sides) than anything else....after all, if he really wants to make a difference, his small change could wipe that debt out. I'm just relieved that he hasn't rocked up at Poole Town FC.. |

Totally agree with the OP. It was a complete insult to the fans to bring SWP on so he could have a love-in with Citeh. That was the point at which I lost any lingering sympathy I might have had for Ramsey. |

Good to see enthusiasm for non-league on here. If you want to follow some drama (apart from the R's of course), then check out the top of the Southern Prem' where the top two are going head-to-head on Sat in the final game of the (regular) season: Poole Town (Charlie Austin's old club) vs Corby Town. It could still go either way, but following the stalemate local derby between Weymouth and Poole on Tues, Corby will have to go for the win. I shall probably be a nervous wreck by 4.45 on Sat with that and keeping tabs on the West Ham game. |

Congratulations to the Stones. A credit to those who worked hard to get them back up the leagues after being shafted several times over the years. Fond memories of visiting the old Lower Mead ground even though (as an Enfield fan) I feared a good kicking when changing ends at half-time, lol. |

I think he finally got the message tonight. No SWP (an honest trier but sadly not cutting it), and with Barton hauled off hopefully never to return. Derry and Mackie on the score sheet. Happy days. If we do end up relegated, at least let's go down fighting with people who care. |

Well said qprxtc. I would rather have a Mackie with the potential to improve under a good coach than some of the under-performing "stars" we have signed- how many of them have put in premiership quality performances on a consistent basis (if at all)? If anything, Jamie probably has a bigger part to play, now that we find ourselves in a real scrap for survival. |
| Forum Reply | THANK YOU NEIL WARNOCK at 20:53 8 Jan 2012
Neil Warnock is undoubtedly a QPR legend and I am very sorry to see him leave. He has had his detractors down the years but I was pleased when he was appointed as I respected his achievements elsewhere. He surpassed expectations and turned our fortunes around very quickly and with little outlay and gave us back a sense of pride in the club. Good luck Neil, your time may have been relatively short but your contribution will never be forgotten. |
